Chick-fil-A Unveils New Chicken Sandwich, Milkshake

(RTTNews) - Fast food restaurant chain Chick-fil-A is launching its first ever seasonal spin on the Original Chicken Sandwich, along with a new milkshake, beginning Monday, August 28.

Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A's Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich as well as Caramel Crumble Milkshake will be available in its stores acorss the United States, while supplies last. Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich will not be available at Hawaii locations.

The new chicken sandwich delivers sweet, savory and subtly spicy flavors. The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich features an original Chick-fil-A filet, topped with custom-made creamy pimento cheese, mild pickled jalapeños and served on a warm, toasted bun drizzled with sweet honey.

The company said it experimented with nearly 30 sandwich options before selecting the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich to roll out nationally.

Further, Chick-fil-A's seventh seasonal milkshake features butterscotch caramel flavors, hand-spun Chick-fil-A Icedream with blondie cookie crumbles and topped with whipped cream and a cherry.

Stuart Tracy, Chick-Fil-A Chef, said, "We wanted to create a standout sandwich that would deliver a unique spin for our guests, without losing the classic taste of the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich. The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich uses ingredients and flavors our guests have never experienced at Chick-fil-A before, balancing savory, sweet and spicy elements using the highest quality ingredients."

The company earlier introduced seasonal entrées such as Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich and Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich.

The family-owned and privately held restaurant company operates more than 2,800 restaurants in 48 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and Canada.
