Japanese Market Modestly Lower

(RTTNews) - The Japanese stock market is modestly lower on Wednesday, extending the losses in the previous session, with the Nikkei 225 falling below the 33,200 level, following the broadly negative cues from Wall Street overnight, as traders remained cautious ahead of the US Fed's monetary policy decision later in the day. They also await the Bank of Japan's monetary policy decision on Friday.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 Index is down 79.69 or 0.24 percent at 33,162.90, after hitting a low of 33,139.80 earlier. Japanese stocks ended significantly lower on Tuesday.
