Spain Inflation Eases Unexpectedly To Lowest In 22 Months
Spain's consumer price inflation eased unexpectedly in May to the lowest level in nearly two years, mainly due to a fall in fuel prices, flash estimates from the statistical office INE showed Tuesday. The consumer price index, or CPI, climbed at a slower pace of 3.2 percent year-over-year in May after a 4.1 percent increase in April.

Eurozone Economic Confidence Hits 6-Month Low
Adding to concerns over growth prospects, euro area economic sentiment deteriorated to the lowest in six months in May reflecting lower confidence in industry, services and retail trade. The economic sentiment index fell to 96.5 from 99.0 in April, survey results from the European Commission showed Tuesday. This was the lowest reading since November and also below economists' forecast of 98.9.
