Totally agree with this thought. Discipline is the main thing in trading as discipline allows a trader to implement their knowledge on practice. You can be infinitely smart and intelligent, but what's the sense of it? How can you benefit from your knowledge? That is why I think that the discipline is as significant as discipline when we talk about trading.

I feel that the worst mistake which is usually made by the newbies is underrating market analysis. It requires discipline to calm down and start thinking logically and operate with numbers. This discipline should be trained and brought up with the passage of time.

I guess that the most useful indicator (pattern) for me is triangle because it helps me a lot to determine trend reversal. I know that there are some other indicators which are also as useful as triangle and it can be combined with other pattern, nevertheless I guess that triangle works perfectly independent. Moreover, I think that people should always pick those indicators which have the biggest winrate according to their spectations. Trading should be part-time in the long run. I mean that there are lots of scalpers who spend 10 hours a day sitting before their computer screens and following the charts in chase of several pips. I really think that all traders should aspire to investing long-term in order to have the time to do something else except for trading and spending more time with the ones that they love.

I do think that a trader should know math. I am not talking about high level calculus, but its fundamentals. First of all, math is all about logic and logic is a key to success.
