Why are we looking down upon human intelligence here? If you can define rules for a machine, you can also follow those rules yourself with discipline and a checklist. Emotions are a risk, sure, but so are curve-fitted EAs that blow up when the regime changes. At the end of the day, a robot is just executing logic a human designed , the edge still comes from the human thinking, testing and adapting, whether the click is manual or automated.

Appreciate the breakdown. +8.46% is solid, but with a 65% max drawdown showing, I’d keep risk tight, around 1–2% per trade and use a daily loss cap to protect the curve. Small and steady sizing beats chasing the big days.

I’m sticking with the majors next year, EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/JPY. They’re cleaner, come with tighter spreads, and don’t throw out the random spikes you get with some minors. For me, it’s just about choosing the pairs that behave the most consistently and fit my trading style.

So far it’s been a solid experience. I’ve blown cheap challenges elsewhere, so starting at $48 here felt low-risk enough to give it a try. The evaluation phases were straightforward, no weird rule changes midway, and passing KYC didn't drag out. Once funded, trading conditions have been stable and execution smooth. As always, time will tell with prop firms, but up to this point Hola Prime has done exactly what they said — and the fast payout really gives confidence.

I’m new to forex trading and have been practicing on a demo account for the past two months. I’m starting to feel more confident and want to switch to a real account, maybe starting with around $1,000. What would be a realistic risk ratio or position size for that kind of capital?
