All of my algos follow the principle of "risk management first, profit comes later." Each of them is equipped with a robust risk management system. The core mechanism is built around three methods: correlation hedging, volatility hedging, and long/short hedging.Drawdowns will not be completely eliminated (if I could, I would), but they are carefully managed. When strong headwinds hit the system, these hedging methods will become more proactive.

This Rocket Sloth is derived from Guardian Albatross, another algo that launched 4 years and you can find it in the list of my offering. The two are closely resembled. However, Sloth is more agile, meaning more profitable. What further differentiates from Albatross is that its risk management mechanism is more rigid. Overall speaking, you get a package of better performance with more manageable risk from Rocket Sloth.

how's everyone's trading?Mine is doing just fine. Trump's tariff war impacted my algo a bit for two days but bounced back right after. Albatross just went through a slight adjustment in the selection of forex pairs to increase the capital efficiency, and thus improves the performance further.It isnt about crazy monthly return that wows you, and then kills you with some crazy drawdown and floating loss. USDJPY is discharged from service as the risk/reward isnt great as we initially thought it would be. Other JPY related pairs are also under review ATM.

The weekly winning streak stops at 29. Thanks to USDJPY.It is totally fine as long as the algo works as programmed, and the hedging mechanism is robust. Profit will always come. We can always start another winning streak.

USDJPY was a huge bummer and almost ruined our winning party. On Apri 26th, the past Friday, jpy depreicated so much to a 34-year low. It is time for my hedging mechanism to kick in. It worked perfectly to minimize the losses we had on the USDJPY short orders. We are further strengthening our hedging mechanism to ensure we have a more robust and sound strategy for the next headwind that comes our way.The winning party goes on. 17 consecutive months of net profit.

JPY has depreciated so much in the past 3 years. From 120ish to closing 160 to USD, that's a killer for both sides, killing it or be killed. Hope you the best in your trading!!!!!

USDJPY long is going strong, very strong. My short orders have nothing to do but to cut some loss before it's too late. Profit will be recouped as my algo designed for. Not too much of a problem.
