i think so. if usd goes down, that means it is worth less, so it takes more usd to buy eur or gbp. therefore, on a chart, the price of eurusd or gbpusd will go up. because the dollar has lost value, it takes more dollars to buy the others. you are using the "quote currency" (usd) to buy or sell the "base currency" (eur, gbp).

Mich10 - good anal-ysis! I am still trying to figure out to what degree tech anal-ysis really works or not? There must tons of academic studies published over the centuries. I have studied it a lot. I have taken umpteen classes. I have tried to do it. Nobody ever shows any data, or proof, that any of it means anything! I sure haven't figured it out yet after tens of thousands of dollars, and thousands of hours trying.
