Fundamental analysis helps a trader lot. But you have to give enough time to learn it. It's a big syllabus. If you have that much willingness, dedication and time, go and study. You just can't be an expert by reading few things. I personally prefer technical analysis.

Agreed fundamental analysis is quite important for trading. To be a successful trader it is important to know about the fundamental and technical analysis both.

Both fundamental and technical analysis are important. But fundamental analysis needs deep knowledge of economy of a country whereas technical analysis is chart based.

@RobSchiz Yes technical analysis is very important for online forex trading. But if anyone can combine both technical analysis and fundamental analysis together, he can do better.

Fundamental analysis can be lethal with technical analysis. The combination of both is unparalleled. But you also need a solid mindset.
