incorrect pwd issue might appear because of firewall related issues or incorrectly unpacked .dll . Sometimes this might happen, especially on VPS

After starting up MT4 check up Terminal -> Experts for any unusual messages, if you'll see nothing than update was successful and everything would be ok.
If there would be any errors contact us in live chat on Monday and we will set you up

Hi Ivan,

My EA won't authenticate for some reason...says Invalid Email/password...any advice? I am on a VPS as well.

However, I have noticed that 3 accounts show "Authenticated – activated", the "activated" part is a new addition, while the 4th account (a live one) only shows "authenticated". The "activated" part is missing.

The only difference between the 4th account and all others is that it does not yet have any open trades in (is a new account)

Can you confirm is all ok or if there is anything I should do.

Yes, sometimes second part might disappear when there are no opened trades, but that shouldn't affect performance in any way

I believe FXDD determine margin based on total open position in USD after convert from base currency, eg euro, then divided by leverage. For $5000 account, 20k position can withhold 90 perc dd without trigger margin call. I would like to see a maxopenposition besides maxed.
I also notice new version does NOT open micro lot from FXDD demo account anymore. Please advise.

Ivan, thank you for replying. I do however think your did not understand the question as the advice given is incorrect.

The "activated" must be showing on the charts or the EA will not enter any new trades!

I have now resolved the issue with an email to support (thanks). If, however, anyone else is showing "authenticated" but NOT "activated", be aware the EA will not enter any new trades.

If anyone is interested I can post here the email from support which resolved the issue.

Hello,
Thank you for your e-mail.

First of all, please check in the EA properties if Activate EA is set to 'true'.

When set to TRUE – the EA will be trading normal way, adding new positions etc.
When set to FALSE – the EA will keep managing opened positions and levels within current baskets, but no new baskets will appear

If you have the input 'true' on all accounts please follow the steps.


1. Make sure that inside the MT4 at the tab Tools -> Options -> Expert Advisors you have put a checks in front of:"Enable Expert Advisor""Allow llive trading""Allow Dll imports""Allow external experts imports"

And you didn't marked:
"Disable experts when the account has been changed""Disable experts when the profile has been changed""Ask manual confirmation""Confirm DLL function calls"

2. If everything is fine with that setup, please remove the EA from all charts, close your MT4 platforms. Then go to your 'start' menu and find there 'Tom's EA Updater'.
When it will finish update and shut down you can run MT4 platforms again and attach the EA to charts.

3. Make sure that you have the latest version on MT4 - version 4.00 build 409.

4. Check if any security software is not blocking the EA.
