I'm letting you know I am no longer looking for account managers, as of beginning of April. The primary reason: I have more contacts that I can handle at the moment, so I decided to focus on strengthening the relationship with them, rather than looking for new ones.

Feel free to continue to post your results/links here, since there may be other people looking for you.

As time permits, I'll update my spreadsheet to include new submissions and also update the info for the previous ones.

Best wishes,
Remus

For the time being the offer has been withdrawn. Please see my post above.

As per my post above, I'm not looking for money managers anymore. However, I will take a look at your results, since it's just fair, given that I did not announce the withdrawal of my offer until now.

Not really. Questions 6 and 7 are not mine, but of someone who copy-pasted my list, and adjusted it a bit. And in that new list, questions 6 and 7 cannot be answered from the trading history; maybe if the manager would have provided that info in his 'bio' notes?

Anyway, your lack of willingness (or time) to answer the questions (which is the common case, if you look at the answers given in this thread), gives a poor message to the potential customers. That's actually another reason why stopped looking for managers on myfxbook: the time required to find the really good ones, both in terms of performance and customer support, is too big in relation to the benefits.

That being said, I have an optimistic view of the managed accounts landscape: I see an uptick in the quality of services, and probably in 6-12 months I'll be looking for managers here again.

Thanks for the link! I'll revisit the posts in this thread later (in 2-3 weeks, maybe more), and add the systems to my tracking spreadsheet. I took only a quick look at your results and here are my comments: looks ok, but the use of variable lot size (you trade with both 0.1 and 0.2 sizes, plus occasionally have a 0.3 lot size trade) throws off the statistics; I'll have to do a bit of extra work to adjust for the use of the higher lot sizes.

Hi,

Oh well, I guess my timings just bad then :). Hope you've had a chance to look at my numbers. I'll leave all the history and values exposed for another 24 hours before locking them up again.

Once the EA achieves 200 pips, it will stop trading for the month.

What is so magical about stopping to trade for a month after reaching a certain goal?
I mean, are you trying to appease some gods for stealing their pips or something?
Did you try different versions of the time frame? maybe 23 days or 41 days would work better?
I've seen this statement before and it just puzzles me since markets don't care about anyone in particular or how often you trade or whether you trade at all. They just move up and down and this makes me wonder what justifies this kind of statement especially since its the EA that makes the trades and it doesn't require vacation time to clear its head.

At the end of the day however if that is what makes you pips - all the power to you.

Best wishes with your trading

Dear Compunder,

Many thanks for your message.

We will do our best to answer your questions below -

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: What is so magical about stopping to trade for a month after reaching a certain goal?

A: It is not magic, but it is human nature, when we see profit, we want more, but with the EA, there is no greed to ask for more.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: I mean, are you trying to appease some gods for stealing their pips or something?

A: We have a simple yet powerful strategy to capture a minimum of 200 pips in the first 2 or 3 trades our EA takes. So there is no need to keep trading the whole month.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Did you try different versions of the time frame? maybe 23 days or 41 days would work better?

A: Our EA works on 2 powerful indicators enabling us to catch the major swings in the GBP/JPY pair.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: I've seen this statement before and it just puzzles me since markets don't care about anyone in particular or how often you trade or whether you trade at all. A: Just think of it like this - GBP/JPY pair moves 400 to 500 pips in a month. Now, if you have a nice swing trading approach, surely you can capture 200 pips in the month :-)

Just curious... why the hell stop at 200 or 300 pips in a month?

If you said 200 pips in a week, I could understand (afterall, every EA needs a rest at times).

There is NO logic whatsoever in stopping trading when you reach a pip (or profit) target. The market doesn't give a dam whether you made a profit or loss, and will never know either.

For instance I finally decided to post my trades on a small new public account on myfxbook yesterday, and made 5 safe trades (closing 3 of them) for a combined total of over 300 pips. Will that stop me trading more this month? No way Nellie!
Wait for the trade to come to you... be patient.

Hi pt49,

Many thanks for your message.

Q. Why the hell stop at 200 or 300 pips in a month?

A. Trading is all about patience, risk management and discipline.

Its like a business. For example, a sales manager has a goal or target to meet each month. Why do companies set goals or targets for sales managers? Because they want to reach a certain amount of profit to cover their expenses for example.

If you are following Myfxbook feature updates, you will have noticed in the last couple of weeks, Myfxbook introduced a new feature on their website. They called it 'Goals'

If you want to be a successful trader in the LONG RUN, you must have GOALS in your agenda 😉

May the pips be with you

Yes, but if the sales manager reaches their goal in the 1st week of the month they sure as hell aren't gonna send him home for 3 weeks, what they'll do is RESET his goals.

I definately have goals (5% increase on account balance each month) but that is simply a MINIMUM goal. If I can make 10% or more I will. For instance if I closed my open trades right now I'd have made over 2% today alone. Being as its friday I may do just that, but then again I can't see this market reversing over 120 pips by Monday's open
