do you think elon musk or steve jobs can come up with a profitable strategy?

Do you think the geniuses that change the world can create a forex trading strategy that can make 10,000% per year.

I recently read about james simon, he was a math professor and made billions from trading stocks. his performance was more than 10,000% in 10 years (based on initial deposit). his drawdown? not more than 0.5%

in my opinion, elon musk or steve jobs can do it much better, because they know how to gather expertise from various field to form a team, and solve specific problems.

if that was in the 90s then i believe him !!! We had 10 years BULL RUN them days .

All so if you have unlimited capital then you can make more then 1000 % per annum .

No I don't think they can make 10.000%. One problem many forget is that forex trading with 1000$ is way easier than with 10 billion. At one point, your trades will start affecting the market.

Same in penny stocks, people can make 10-30% a month there, but this doesn't scale beyond a few hundred thousand dollars, or sometimes the low millions.

In any event, if you start with one million and make 10.000% a year, you would own all the dollars in the world in about 4 years.

I do not believe they could do it. If someone is dealing great in define field in business, this does not mean in other field will achieve the same or even the similar good results.

I had some friends in the past, which have created solid business related with petrol and gas products, other with bricks factories, others with hotel business and property management, but all of them lost in Forex market. some of them lost a few millions, other a bit less then a million, but still they were thinking the same way: 'I am great with my business, so I can succeed with everything I start'

Bottom line: this cold be done, but means they need to pay much more attention to their current business activities then FX trading and the would not be able to be such profitable in their industry. :)

yes, just like james simon said, more fund will make the profit lower, so he limit his hedge fund with 10billion and stop taking new investment.

lets put the business experience aside. im talking about forming a team to solve a problem.

take a look at elon musk, he hire people from other field than car manufacturing to build tesla. each problem have hundreds or thousand of small problem inside it. and it was solved by forming a team from any kind of field.

in my opinion, if we can find good engineers to form a team, we should get the answer to forex.

Banks put teams together of all kind of clever people and although they can make money, I wouldn't say that they have 'the answer to Forex'
