scalping is risky ?

Scalping can be profitable but you need to be experienced and have everything under control, money and risk management,sl/tp targets;emotions,analyisis etc etc. Basically you need to be a good trader to trade any time frame. I myself think profitable scalping through a dealing desk, market maker broker is extremely hard to say the least due to re-quotes and huge spreads.
To give yourself a fighting chance, you definitely need all the GOOD aforementioned attributes in the bag, running under a true ECN/STP broker who is regulated with low spreads and is held in high regard by the trading community at large.
In my opinion, the majority of market makers are just Bucket Shops out to fleece you with inumerous blown scalping acccounts on the books amongst others and TRUE ECN/STP Brokers are the only way to go.

In my experience, to be successful in a scalping strategy to make profit, it requires a in depth understanding about forex market and long trading experience.
But it is usually the opposite case and usually newbie traders get attracted to scalping strategies by placing quick entry and exit trades to make quick profits. If they make profit in one day, then they think that they can repeat it everyday and get rick quick.

Also, depending on the aggressiveness and frequency of the scalping strategy trades it might be required to use risk much lower than 1% per trade since every trade costs spread and commissions to cover before entering into profit and in scalping usually the pip expectancy is low.

Much lower is the best option since scalpers need to open lots of trade in every session!

If you love scalping should choose the broker that allows trading concept such as this. Obviously from all trading strategies scalping is really comfortable that brings profit instantly but by and large trading brokers don’t allow trading concept such as this. So, we the traders who are particularly scalpers have to choose our brokers in cool mind.

Broker isn’t the key point; 1st of all; having a good scalping trading skill is the main criteria; you broker can provide you a good service but you have to make profit by yourself!

According to our trading experience we the traders select our trading strategy. Actually credible trading broker does not restrict any kinds of trading strategies with scalping and hedging we should choose this kinds of brokers.

I think; restricted broker are dangerous to use; so better to leave this kind of trading companies!

So we the scalpers have to choose the currency pair which has lowest trading spreads. Otherwise that’s not possible at all to make profit with certainly by scalping.

It’s important; since nowadays few brokers aren’t allowing scalping trading style; but newbie’s mainly follow the way of short term trading; that’s why till now it’s the number one choice!

Scalping seems fun when you're winning but its not fun anymore when you start losing. There is a saying ‘ If you try to scalp the market, it will ultimately scalp you. Many times, traders tend to eat most of their capital before they call the experiment a failure.

Even I am also not comfortable by scalping trading style but the point is; I am not against on it!

I agree, scalping can only be done if the broker offers such conditions, especially low spreads. And I have noticed the difference since I switched brokers. earlier I use to get around 2-3 pip difference , but now with fxbrew, I am getting around 0.3-0.4, which has made scalping easy and profitable.

Agree scalping can be profitable only if you have
good strategy, lowest spreads broker and lowest commission charges.

how much you risk , how much you earn, ( risk/reward ), this is the most important ratio in scalping.
in my opinion most of scalping lovers cant control their emotions & greed, after a while they will go for “ all or nothing” ,This is where the problem begins.
i suggest you to start learning the world behind buy/sell buttons. and choose a medium-term trading strategy.

I have a scalping trading system running for 21 months so far. It is an EA supervised manually trading on the Asian session with only 1 pair. I agree the best is a good ECN broker for this type of trading. Avoid market makers.

Sometimes I got maximal result by using EA but I never depend on this. I always try to depend on my trading knowledge that I have acquired by passing a long time with great patience.
