There are many Australian brokers available, but few with global reach. I believe fm-fx.com (https://www.fm-fx.com/en/page/aboutfmfx) is the best. it operates at a global level which provides its users the flexibility needed to trade from anywhere in the world.

Whatever broker you pick, I recommend to make sure that they are properly regulated by ASIC and that there haven’t been any warnings against them. ASIC maintains a black list of brokers and even recently expanded it with several untrustworthy companies. Why? As far as i can remember I've had smooth transactions with Fm-fx.com. I was actually surprised because of the fast withdrawal=)

I personally like Pepperstone and Synergy as brokers and use the MT4 "Platform" from each. I have found that for me as a new trader that Synergy offers some good online training material and Pepperstone offers some good webinars. I have tried some other brokers but ended up deleting their "platforms" and my demo accounts with them.
I am still demo trading only, and in very early days, so not sure if my comments help or not.

Has anyone had any experience with Forexct - based in Melbourne? I have opened an account with them following their assertive sales calls and I've deposited a small sum in the account as a tester.
There is not much in the forums regarding their operations so I'd be keen for anyone's thoughts.
