this is what I told, you trade no signals. I guess you are doing baskets of currencies and your stop is most probably some % of your total balance or may be leaving those fat tails in fractions. I have only guesses but outside of my oil trading I came to conclusion that hard stops per instrument might be useless and basket and stop of % of the total balance might be better idea.
with my oil account I always use hard stops.

cheque fraud? hardly. i started out by having a man that was in the timeshare and telemarketing boiler room business supplying me with stacks of paperwork that were the orders from his telemarketing rooms, these order sheets contained names and addresses and telephone numbers and credit card numbers and expiration dates. in the beginning, i was lucky to net a couple of grand per week for myself, i had to split my gross with the man that supplied that paperwork to me.

later down the road, after having thought about it for several months, i devised a telemarketing piitch that i could use to make outbound calls where i would represent myself as calling from a financial institution, my pitch was that we were calling to solicit them as a new customer and sign them up. it was common that i could sit down on the phone for three or four hours and usually i would walk away from the phone with somewhere between 10k and 50k of spendable funds, which in pretty much all cases would net me about 65% of that spendable amount. ie, for every 10k of accounts that i would takeover it would net me about 6.5k..

btw, i am much better on the phone than i am when using the written word.

on one occasion, i interfaced with a man that worked with a competing bank and on another occassion i interfaced with an actual detective with a major metropolitan police department. but this was many years ago and i served my time, thank you very much. i popped both of em and proceeded to spend all of the money from their accounts. i am sorry for what i did. i am not proud of it. i will not do such things again. i will starve to death before i commit any criminal act. both parties supplied to me their date of birth, social security number, mother's maiden name and their credit card and bank account info. my point is that i was thorough enough to pop a detective and an employee of another bank, ie, my sht was tight.

later on, i decided to print up a cashiers check.

and i did just that.

they were flawless.

i passed so many of those things for 10k that i cant remember half of em.

i remember one time when a young man came to me and asked me if i could help him with a little come up.

i figured that if i could have him taking care of the grunt work that i could then focus on the biigger issues.

for a man that had not a nickle in his pocket, i thought that i was tossing him a really nice bone.

so, anyways, i supplied to him the pitch that he would use over the phone and i trained him in all aspects of the work.

after i got him busy, i took off to the local bennigans restaurant to have myself a little food and a scotch and water.

i used to like the scotch, but i rarely drink any more.

after i finished at the bennigans, i figured that i would go back home to see how he was coming along.

it just so happened that i had a baby monitor stuck up behind the desk where he was working.

a baby monitor can be purchased at your local radio shack, it is a device that allows young mothers to walk around their house and listen to their baby. it can also be used to bug a room.

anyways, when i pulled back up to my apartment, i parked directly outside of my apartment and i clicked on the baby monitor receiver.

i was expecting to hear him working diligently on the phone.

but, omg, no.

he was on the phone with one of his friends...

omg, you would not believe what this guy has me doing up here, he was telling his friend.

oh sht, another wanker, i thought.

so i walked back up and entered my apartment, making sure to make noise while opening the door so that he would hear me coming.

i walk back into my office and the little faker is acting like he is making calls for me.

when he hangs up that call, i ask him how it is all coming along.

oh, fine, he tells me.

wonderful, i said. get anything yet?

no, he says.

so i ask him if he knows what that device is that is stuffed up under the desk.

he looked at it carefully and tells me that he does not know what it is.

i informed him that it is a room monitor and then i pulled the receiver out of my jacket pocket and i explained it all to him.

he was speechless.

i suggested that he might want to leave the premises and he did.

about thirty minutes later, he calls me from a payphone and demands that i give to him 2k or he is going to blabber his mouth to the cops.

i very politely suggested that he might want to polish my knob and then i hung up.

not too many years ago, we learned how to carry out basic organ transplants.

but there were/are a few problems with the whole transplantation issue.

for starters, you need to find an acceptable donor. whoops.

and then you have rejection issues. whoops again.

but now we have figured out how to take cells directly from your body, perhaps cells from your liver, for example, and then basically use these cells to grow a brand spanking new liver for which there are no rejection issues due to the fact that technically this is your liver. and you can nix that donor issue also.

also, if we can grow a liver we can grow a steak dinner.

the eventual goal, in my opinion, will not be to grow copies of your organs, outside of your body, but instead the goal will be to coax an organ into regrowing itself, in place, in other words, to regerate the organ while it is inside of your body.

the keyword is regenerative medicine.

one time when i was in jail, i had hung up my jumpsuit on the end of my bunk and went off to sleep for the night.

even with as much friction as you and i seem to be experiencing, i must admit that you are most probably a fairly decent software engineer.

i have been approached by a man that wants a gridding type of system produced for him, but i am not terribly interested in takiing it on, it is a bit on the vanilla side, challengewise, and i am considering suggesting to the man that you are probably available and quite capable of handling his project.

No dollar gets left behind. Had $102.37 left behind in an old testing account, only way to get it out is to trade it up to something I can transfer out, then I'll most likely send it to Oanda where we have the ..

this was a very weak business decision on your part.

you state that you gotta bust an $850.00 nut to keep your oanda stuff running and so you decided to waste how much of your time to gain a measley $45 bucks?

you have spent almost three months focusing on gaining $45 bucks while your oanda api work has set you back more than $2500.00

that is correct, $45.00 divided by three months means that you took your focus off of your real work on the oanda api in order that you could gain about $15.00 per month.

an astute business person that had pressing work going on at nonads oanda would have looked at that ibfx account and done one of two things..

1) leave it, as is, with the $102.xx balance.

2) request a wire withdrawl of the $102.xx, get clipped for the wire fees, and just move on.
