What are the settings of the live account? Aggressive or conservative MM?

As always - conservative. We are not adherents of aggressive trading, we provide such option in our EAs for those who prefer, but never recommend.

Will you be able to extend the trial period to 30 days to really get the feel of this EA?

Tks,

Tks,

Actually, 15 days is typical industry trial period. Not too many vendors provide free trial at all ...

You are using lot multiplier 3 instead of default 2? Why is that? Also is there any chance you could make a 99% modelling quality backtest of Conservative settings using 2009-2013 timeframe?

Thanks

Actually, lot multiplier is not 3, it is 2, but it applies not to the last lot, but to cumulative lot. Why so? To close the basket earlier.
We do not have access to 99% quality history data, but we don't think it should be any difference with 90%. This is not scalper, every single tick is not so important, and the candles surely are practically same.

Thanks for the clarification! And what is the difference between Aggresive and Conservative if using same starting lot?

Initial starting lot is the same, in conservative mode it always remains the same, in aggressive mode it is growing as the balance grows.

So basically it is just MoneyManagement option? Both settings trade similar using same indicator(s)?

Yes, sure, that is just MM option. It should be clear from cl.15.1 'Variables guide' of Instructions Manual.

I find interesting statistics in comparing your backtests from Conservative to aggressive.

Here is conservative. Please do custom analysis with End Date = Dec 31 , 2009

Gain:+662.91%
Daily: 0.12%
Monthly: 3.74%
Drawdown: 9.32%
Balance: $6.6K
Highest: (Dec 31) $7.6K
Profit: $6629.07
Deposits: $1000.00

Total 1811 Trades.

A 600% gain with 9% DD in 2009. Very good. Impressive. Now we look at Aggressive Setting in the next backtest.

Same Date Jan 2009 - Dec 2009 -

https://www.myfxbook.com/strategies/ea-martistoch-v20-aggressive-2009/44256

Gain:+1652.82%
Daily: 0.79%
Monthly: 26.7%
Drawdown: 58.13%
Balance: $35.1K
Highest: (Dec 31) $35.3K
Profit: $33056.30
Deposits: $2000.00

Conservative settings at 9% DD ( 1k deposit )
Aggressive setting at 58% DD ( 2k deposit )

This Calculates that Aggressive setting has DD with 12 Times the Risk > Conservative and 3x Gains <

Aggressive setting is 12 times riskier and only 3 times more Gains.

Can you explain why the EA would open a 1.62 lot and close for 13 pips then reopen the Same Lot size at the same minute the previous trade closed?

Isn't this a waste of commission?

The closing logic the same as the Opening logic? Or this is no logic after the first open positions? Please explain!

I read that the older account blew as stated here - https://www.golden-boomerang-lab.com/ea-martistoch-v20.html

EA MartiStoch had a 10-months successful live trading history and gained more than 1100% before July 10, 2013, the worst day for the 'green-buck' in entire EURUSD history, when it skyrocketed by 362 pips in only 5 hours after US Fed's Bernanke speech at US FOMC meeting (click to enlarge an image below):

However, beside of the bitterness of loss, that was a good lesson as well, because it taught us how to withstand such unpredictable market moves. EA MartiStoch was seriously reconstructed and you can see below how version 2.0 would pass that 'D-day' - with only 20% of balance lost, which is nothing, comparing with its predecessor's crash!

I don't understand

https://www.myfxbook.com/strategies/ea-martistoch-conservative-2010-2013/41036 - Older version

https://www.myfxbook.com/strategies/ea-martistoch-v20-conservative-2009/44255 - newer version

How does the new version 2.0 '' would pass that 'D-day' - with only 20% of balance lost, '' .

Are we suppose to run your robot with the 20% max DD equity Protection ( drawdownlimit)? because your 2.0 version backtest does not use a 20% maxDD and your DD is higher than 20% in reports.

My concern is you suggest a setting that you do not test in backtest.

Why is there only 2 pip difference in Open Price between these orders?

Doesn't this mean No grid element? Please explain.

I found

EA MartiStoch:

From 4900$ to 140$, game over.

At level 5, the Lot multiplier went to 10x. I thought the multiplier was 3x all the way through? Did I miss something? I found this comment on DonnaForex. I can not confirm if more trades were suppose to be included in this Basket.

From what is displayed , at Level 5, the Lotsize is relatively larger than what our Margin would allow at most fx broker. Can I open a 4.86 Lot with a 4900 Balance? No. What account leverage is used during your Backtests?
