You make an excellent point. I will have to cater for that. Perhaps I will get the trailing stop EA to manage the overall stoploss. It can also place a TP for the trade.
It will also include an option to close a trade x minutes before a high impact news event(medium as well if desired).

Well, so far, and for those who find different results from those posted by the real account we follow here at myfxbook.com, my real is running real as well, using the same broker, and results are practically the same, so I think we can confirm that the difference must be due to broker.
Also running on demo with Alpari, and results so far similar, but different entry prices.

hi kenny can you explain at the compuforex trail ea you posted where is the entry for the magic number? i want to let it only manage forex growth bot orders. I dont see such a tab...

The 2 buy trades are now closed. Noticed there was differences in opening and closing in my trades compare to the one in myfxbook. Perhaps this was due how fast the broker accept and execute the trades signal that was in their que. It's few pips (1-5 pips) so its not a big deal. I'm using the same broker (ThinkForex) and probably the same vps (Forexvps). The ping from my vps to broker is about 22ms. The only execution that was spot-on was the closing of one the trade at 1.36002.
Myfxbook (ThinkForex) trade:
trade 1: open 1.35487 close: 1.35993 (+50.6)
trade 2: open 1.35465 close 1.36002 (+53.7) total: 104.3 pips
My trade (ThinkForex on ForexVPS)
trade 1: open 1.35494 close: 1.35967 (+47.3)
trade 2: open 1.35479 close 1.36002 (+52.3) total: 99.6 pips
Differences in total pips : 4.7
Great, the bot made me equity 10% up and i don't need to trade manual to keep up with the equity the bot had lost since feb10th at -14.4% . I started this bot since 10th feb on the 'wrong' days, but i guess nobody would ever knew when to start on the 'right' day anyway. 'There's no better time than now' i told myself and got myself mentally prepared to lose 300pips on the start and adjusted my lotsize according to it but luckily it was much less than that.
I noticed the bot ignored the double tops in yesterday's trade but took heed in today's and closed the trades...pretty cool bot..guess i juz need to keep the faith with this bot- as it had kept me from that emotional thingy to a minimum that comes along in manual trading. I'm too old for that adrenalin rush.

Same here, almost took back the losses, but my accoutn running in my pc, stayed a bit longer, and lost a few pips more, but nothing too bad to consider.
And I will quote RPP123

Definitely it's just a matter of patience and believing that there´s going to be more winner's than loosers, or at least, bigger wins than losses.

I like your trailing EA. Especially the decay function. Question. What do you think would happen when one or two trades close out when there's a series of 5 or so trades open. Do you think FGB will lose track of the open trades? Or after a couple close it affects the way it exits the open trades.

I am not sure how FGB would deal with the remaining trades as I don't know the internal logic. Presumably it will exit the remaining trades via its own stoploss.
The EA will work ECN and also 4/5 digit brokers. I am working on an updated version that provides more useful screen feedback to the user. Unfortunately its a bitch to debug. I also hope to have the NewsBlocker EA ready in the next few days.

That's great. As it is its already very functional. The exit strategy of FGB is poor. A good EA should have not only a good entry but exit strategy and very often a bad trade can be made less so by a good exit.

This gutsy bot made me another 11%..yeah! The bot closes the last 2 trades exactly at the peak of M15 'Trix' of THV system that I use for watching the bot and manual trading. Now equity is up, so i have profits to spare for future losses, gonna quit manual trading soon. I would'nt be as gutsy as this bot when manual trading. Gonna sleep peacefully tonite. Good job FGB!

I'm starting to doubt wether it is good or bad that it trades news, because i've been analizyng and the bot doesn't enter the trade right after the first news movement, but rather waits a little while, 4 to 5 candlesticks to identify the movement as a strong one and then enters.
I figured that out since today trades where taken after Bernanke spoke, and rode the trend for a while, wich got the great performance from today.
PS: I'll be verifying my trading privileges in a little while when I get back home from work.
My bot is actually running absolutely alone. Expecting results since I really just Set and forget about it, just track it's develop from work by watching myfxbook account
