Since commission was applied to these trades, then it is ECN account.

Hi Vinod,
would like to check with you why do you prefer to use fixed lot size of 0.2 instead of like mm of 5%?
Are there any pros and cons to it?
Which method is more advisable?
Thank You!

Hi Dennerle
Well, I would say I am more comfortable with 0.2 lots than using the MM. This is just a personal preference. When I am comfortable with more lots, I would increase it manually.
I dont see any cons on using the MM.
By the way, 5% of MM on a FXOpen ECN account with equity 3000 mean that the lot size would be 0.15, but since the MM is based on equity the more trades are open, the equity may tend to decrease when the trades are open and there are chances that we may miss trades if the lot size goes below 0.1. Fxopen ECN min lot size is 0.1, and this is the other reason im running it wiht manual lotsize so I dont miss any trades.

Have you considered removing gbpusd since it is a net loser? I have noticed in many ea's that gbpusd is a poor performer when it comes to ea trading.

We are working on Photon Evo 1.1 which will increase the number of trades over all, and also decrease the number of trades per pair. We are testing the GBPUSD pair currently, which is does not perform to the expectation. Probably, we might not use it when Evo 1.1 is released.

can you tell me the ea what the most suitable for use in a fixed currency. I want the system to stabilize, rather than have to delete or add currency for each update. and I've found updated version of fast.

Hi Vinod,
what leverage are you using?
1:500 or 1:100??
Also, based on this article from CFTC, https://www.cftc.gov/PressRoom/PressReleases/pr5974-11.html
are you going to switch broker to such as ATC Brokers or any other ECN brokers?
Regards,
Dennerle

Hi Vinod,
if you look at the 'duration' chart under advanced statistics, i can see there are more trades being hit losses at 40 pips instead of say 60 pips.
Wonder whether you wanna re-consider of reducing SL to 40 pips for Forex Photon 1.1a???

Hi Dennerle
Yes, I am striving to get the stoploss within 40 pips, and the reason is, 90% of the times it crosses 30 pips its gonna hit 40 pips. How ever there will not be any change in Take Profit, Max Trades now can be chosen. Frequency of trades for all the pairs is greatly increased, so there is active trading. I seriously regret for the losses on USDCAD. This as well is tackled in 1.1a.
More than 70% of the times it crosses 40 pips, it retraces back and goes in our direction, this was considered for Evo 1.0 and the reason for 60 pips SL

Hi
I currently have installed Photon v1.0.
When will the version you are currently using be available?
It makes it very hard to evaluate how my performance is with current version if the one on here is different?
Many thanks,
Mae

I believe all of you expect a very reliable version? Isn't a version before getting released expected to be tested in LIVE? Thats what we are doing. We are seeing the performance as to how it reflects in the LIVE account. If you had read the email if everything goes well, it will be released by the end of this week.

Thanks for the scathing reply...
Your right in all your points you so eloquently put across.
If I had remembered reading your email I would of realised you said 2nd week of Feb.

Apologies. Didnt mean to be aggressive, everything almost over with the testing, just a few things we are trying to understand with the current LIVE testing. Its still 2nd week, so we still have time...

Thanks for the apology.
Hope everything goes well with the testing, will be waiting patiently for next update even if you need to take a little longer to finalise. Better to get it right 1st time rather then have to hastily release a fix a few days later. :)
