Fusion V - I am really struggling with the help line at FRWC and would appreciate any advice on my predicament. I am running Fusion 1.2 on a FXCM demo account, settings at default and trade lots at 0.1 For example, since the market re-opened last night the live version of Fusion running on FRWC's web site shows their trading history as having opened and closed 5 trades today already and 14 currently open trades at 10.42 GMT. I don't have any of those and have not received any of these signals, but I do have a huge live loss making GBP/JPY trade opened on 18 Feb showing around minus 1000 pips that does not appear on the FRWC web live trade web page. The staff at FWRC keep asking me to complete a ticket with a freeze shot of my account and so far I have sent them three. They don't come back to me, nor will they put me through to anyone with any real technical knowledge to resolve the problem, so I don'r know how to proceed. If there's someone local to me in Europe out there happy to speak to me to compare trades in real time over the phone, please email me a number and I will call you.

12.36 GMT The Fusion V 1.2 live account web page, put up so you and I can sheck in real time online how it's trading, just credited itself with a + 778.98 pips as an auto account sync with FXCM turning a huge loss into a respectable profit. What is that all about?

No clue what's going on with FRWC live account. Those 5 monster loss GBP JPY positions should wipe out their equity significantly, and yet it seems like the equity is doing fine. I smell something not right. Auto sync credit of $700+? WTH?
Straasha is also waiting to open up many trades with huge lot size. The account is going to be blown up for sure, just waiting for the time.

ianines:

If you are trading real FXCM account, there was an immense spike in mid last week that stopped out all my trades. FXCM has already cleaned up most of the mess, I am not sure if GBP/JPY was affected, but you can check this out...

FRWC live account is down 40% from the initial $1000 deposit, LMAO. Actually if you calculate from their last balance of $1400, then the drawdown of the past few trades is 60%.

Super Volcano started the assault, and then Straasha continued the job to suck the equity down like a vampire. From the trade history, it seems that they have to manually delete the pending orders from Straasha, and then reset Straasha to 0.01 lot to avoid margin call.

and another thing I forgot to mention how is it when every EA comes out it has instructions on how to load it but never how to operate it? Why is it everyone on here is discussing different settings already surely you can put 5000 in a demo and set it lowest risk and sit back and wait? So much for thier support if buyers have to work out how it trades too puft...

Phil, LMD and HiRIDER ane not a load of baloney. They are both profitable if you set them up carefully. And potnentially, Neg-Correlation, Zoop, COBALT-FX, and SIMPLE all have the potential to be profitable and low-risk robots in the FRWC stable. Other than the ones I mentioned (lol, you know who you are Straasha, VREM2, SuperVolcano...) the others are FAR too risky for an account with anything less than $10,000. Its a shame they didnt make this more clear, although I am not even sure they know for certain the reality of this.

I am probably getting a refund soon guys. At this point the only robot I am happy with, even with the several close calls, is HiRIDER. I'd pay $97 for HiRIDER and another $97 for LMD. Thats it. And sadly thats a combination not on offer. I already submitted my refund request and will continue to test some of the robots until they issue me my refund on 3/16 or 3/18.

Just because it wasn't right for me doesnt mean it isnt right for you. If your risk appetite is a bit hungrier and your capitalization is a bit higher (10k+) then this could be a great product, all modules considered. As of now, however -- for me personally -- I can't justify using 2-3 of the 11 total modules for the price of the package. HiRIDER may be a very good robot, but it isn't $1,200 good for someone on my budget. :(

So how do they refund you - check, wire? Do you need to fill a form or go through Plifmus?

Only Hirider & LMD are great robots after testing over the past 2 weeks.

Hi there ! Very interesting thread for me as I am considering buying the FRWC suite.
Could someone explain what the "Auto account synch with FXCM" means? So far it was only few $ but lastly it skyrocket to $778.

Ok there seems to be a deposit and then a withdrawal of an "almost the same" amount but I cannot understand the need for that.

Your advice would be much appreciated.

THANK GOD I FOUND THIS THREAD.
Not responding to a specific post.
I bought the FRWC package on day 1.
I even suggested on day one they set up a member's forum. Either on the site or by yahoo. That hasn't happened, SO, I am so glad I found this.

There are a couple of non-FRWC robots that I am testing as well. I haven't been happy with any of them.
Anyway I have up to 15 practice accounts running at the same time, with 4 different brokers. (Tricky with a small PC)

As regards fusion, 2 with FXCM, which only go as low as .1 lots (on practice) and 2 with Alpari, which goes to .01. One is set to defaut, the other limits the stop losses to 30. A 5th accessing then fusion live account. Every single acccount giving different results. Soemtimes one does better than the other then they swing in opposite directions.

Started new 10K on the 24th
Current Equity as of 11:30am 3/3/10

FXCM default Balance 10,508 Equity 8,679
FXCM S/L 30 Balance 9,795 Equity 10,177
Alpari default Balance 9,994 Equity 9916
Alpari S/L 30 Balance 9,881 Equity 9,890
Live Account Balance 585 Equity 565

(Note: Balance reflects all closed positions, equity includes opened positions)

What has me fuming are this past weekend's results of the live account. A nearly $800 drop on micro-trading of .01-.02 from just over $1300. That's a wipeout which is unacceptable. My live start-up would only be $1000. The feed back I get is boiler plate ... Fusion is experimental and we are working very hard. I DON'T CARE!. It's about results. This was their big promotion ... 354% in 19 days. A new DNA which will revoltuionize the industry. This past weekend was a 57% drop in a couple of days! and struggling to stay at that level.

Hi guys, anybody know what the refudn policy is. I want to get rid of this Fusion drivel.

I am a bit frustrated with this fusion thing. It does not perform as advertised, has performance issues with different brokers, and is sold as an opaque black box without any suggestions as to how to safeguard capital.

The whole point about making money is that you have to get paid for some sort of risk in the market. I get what LMD currency is about: it's position taking (trend following). However the other EAs are pretty much liquidity providers: buy the asset off somebody who wants to get rid of it and hope to god it goes in your favour; no matter how long your holding period. Well the risk is obvious, one day it's going to go against you, and wipe out your entire P&L.

Not saying that this can't be profitable: market makers do it all the time (as well some high frequency hedge funds). However, as retail players you have to pay the spread on these trades (or commission if you do ECN). And I doubt the EAs are sophisticated enough to play the limit order game, and try to overcome the trade cost.

I feel suckered, as I always fall for the nice equity charts, which always point upwards.

All the best,
CC.

PS As an example, up above, HiRider's praises are sung.

Check out: http://www.myfxbook.com/portfolio/fusion-ver-11/18021 an Alpari-UK demo account. It just blew its clogs. What's interesting, is that HiRider wasn't trading at the beginning because Alpari kept on logging off at exactly the time HiRider was trying to put positions on. This seems to have stopped.

In order to get a refund you need to have traded any of the FRWC robots on a demo or live account for 30 days and apply for a refund within 60 days of purchase. So, if you aren't running it on an account I'd start now.

A word to some of the new recruits posting here about todays changes at FRWC. Today saw two new accounts displayed on the FRWC members Fusion live web pages available at http://www.forex-robot-world-cup.com/members/ealab.php?00= whilst the original live account displayed since 5 February quietly vanished, although Steve Boardman is still tracking it for all to see at http://www.myfxbook.com/members/KagiFX1/fusion-12-live-conservative-settings/19125. This original conservative settings live account, opened with $1000 and trading in lot siizes of 0.01 is currently showing a loss of around 45% on its original investment and a fall of around 62% from its high of $1362.00 set on 26 Feb. This attempt at an opaque view on Fusion was today replaced with two sample offerings. One a third party live feed, headed 'very conservative' trading since last August (long before Fusion came into being) according to its history and funded with a $36600.00 dollars shows a mouth watering profit to date of $12,500.00 with trading lots in its history on occasion exceeding $5million a time (truly very conservative). The second, is a 'conservative' demo account and no longer appears to be trading with current prices, although its history shows lots of 'conservative' $60k trades, so I almost give ip on making sense of the message FRWC are sending, other than in the supposed final two days when you can purchase their robots, 'we are far from transparent'.

Wow, I didn't notice that, but you're right it's not there anymore! But, as noted previously, I have also have the live account independently set up on one of my MT4 accounts. Current (3:40pm EST 3/3) Equity value at 563.71, down 58.6% off the high and 43.6% off the original.

I am wondering whether to request a refund now or wait until I have the 30 days of demo account info they are asking for. The refund request is handled by Plimus and under the circumstances they really can't have any complaints about granting a refund. Has anyone on here actually received a refund yet?

The stipulation is quite clear and I queried it with support, you have to have thirty days of demo or live trading before you can apply for the refund within the 60 day limit. However this raises an interesting question. I'm not 100% sure how things work with Plimus, if it has an unconditional 30 day money back guarantee with Plimus then we're in danger of exceeding the 30 days on that by waiting to have 30 days of trade history.
