Hey Guys, since I've given up on Fusion, I've been looking for other EA's

I came across one called "Dubai" Here is the link

http://www.myfxbook.com/members/profxtrade/profxtrade01/17566

Has anyone used this EA or know anything about it. I think i saw it for sale for 230 bucks.

Any info would be appreciated

Cheers
Wayne

Publishing info like I said I would, and as I said before input appreciated :-)

Fusion x 1.21 demo 40 -Gross profit 3248.89 (over 100% on a 3K account) in 2 weeks, loss is the reason some closing assistance in the form of an additional trade manager appears to be necessary till there is revised version that addresses the loss.

Fusion v1.21 closing vs vanilla - Trade Manager on Hedge setting appears to be making a difference (Hedge at 250 pips 100% close on Break Even) are those settings as optimal as it can be or can this be bettered ? don know - thoughts ?

HiRider - all loosing trades where made by Strategy 1, this Strategy is now gone for "HiRider Advanced" so I will be watching results from the new demo account as they come in, as on 3K account over 2 weeks the profit would have been 827.90 without strat 1.

Yes the original accounts I had on LMD / Fusion / SV / Neg Co etc were negative on deposit or not acceptable growth.

However, it wasn't enough to make me give up experimenting, & unless I'm missing something with newer revisions I'm starting to prove out my theory and may be getting closer to a salvaged situation that can still make money - early days, but feels like 15% a month is attainable.

Shoot holes in it folks.

Another couple of question -

It appears FRWC in one of their last updates on fusion refined some of the adjustable settings to normalize some of the robots which for some of the EA's this seems to be key to peak performance in current market conditions based on recent previous market conditions. How do you do this analysis yourself and how often does it need to be done. (Note this is a general question here not specific to fusion but I will use it on fusion if it's possible)

I hear talk from more experienced FOREX folks that Jan / Feb 2010 were tough months to make money in FOREX, I don't understand this if the market is cyclical and performs to mathematical rules. If experienced traders are following the indicators whither scalping or not I'm not sure why this would matter - as long as the market is not flatlined traders or EA's have the ability to make money - maybe it was the volitility during these months made it harder hence the impact to bottom line profit ?

Would be good to understand the above - suspect FRWC released Robots as they were optimized for Nov Dec market, which may also explain some of the catastrophe we seen in Feb, and the improved performance with newer settings.

Also as an aside - Fusion with lot risk of 17 and max trades = 5 is trundling along nicely on another demo now

Jan/Feb markets were so-so because normally trendy currencies were erratic in movement. Manual traders have an advantage over EA's because they can act on the trend quicker but everyone (EA's/Manual Traders) has problems will erratic movement. So on top of the markets being flatter than usual - they were also more non-trendy than usual. Stuff like this is hard to trade because the gains are lower and drawdowns/losses are higher. Just a harder environment to profit from. (more work)

Hi all,

Lorak, finally I am able to login, it was a security setting adjustment in IE8. After reading this forum I was starting to wonder if FRWC had taken an extended holiday. Alas all is well with the login. I have just downloaded the updates and will see how things go over the coming days.

Thanks all

Due to some PM's I have included this post for clarity on the Graphs / Statements posted earlier today - sorry I was in a rush :-(

On Fusion -

The first one is the vanilla flavor out of the box from FRWC that I use as my baseline to test results against.

The other demo account is the same as above but with Steve Hopwoods Trade Manager EA running on it - this EA DOES NOT Place trades (except Hedge trades), it runs on a separate chart (any chart) and all it does is monitor the account and closes any trades that in this case Fusion opens that meet the conditions set. The hedge trade looks most promising in my opinion based on others input / my experimentation (could still be doing with some refinement input here anyone ?).

The text in previous post in brackets are the settings I have set in the hedge portion of this closing robot
(Hedge at 250 pips, 100% hedge, close on Break Even).

The statements are there for each, as is the graph associated with each although note they are not in order (should be top vs bottom graph), you should be able to visually see the difference between the 2 graphs - not perfect or elegant by a long shot but getting slightly more attractive

Interesting.

It's been several days since FRWC kicked me out. I guess I am still on their member's list as I just received thier email advising of the Advanced HiRider. I would certainly like to know what results you all get.

FYI, one of the non-FRWC robots I am practice testing, from Forex Cash Evolution ($149) , since Mar 11, $1000 at .01 lots, is up $186 (all open positions)

irbis, yes. I have looked at demoed almost everything on that
page. Also, that page has a lot of weird stuff on it... viruses
and trojans and other stuff. I don't advise people to actually
download things from that site.

This proves again that any other type of trading
cannot be relied upon. Only scalping works
consistently. You looking at the screen and
trying to scalp is hard enough. No EA that
is designed around trending, indicator following,
swinging, or any other indicator based trading
especially trends, will fail at some point. And
it tends to fail rather miserably and painfully.
Scalping is the only answer at ECN broker
that does not care how much you trade
because they make commissions on your trades.
The more we look at EAs and program EAs,
the more we realize that manual scalping for
let's say 5-8 hours a day is enough to make
a decent earning. The trap of 24/6 also ends
up killing accounts. It is a trap. Treat trading
like work and don't put in more than 8 hours
per day scalping, and you'll all be fine in the long
run.

Jon let me put this in words you will understand: [Abusive content removed]

There are many trading approaches that work and scalping is the LEAST effective of them all. Most manual scalpers burn themselves and their accounts out pretty quickly. (after you get that first BIG loss you'll kill yourself/account trying to get back even - From there you'll throw good money after bad until you're broke) Most EA scalpers use huge stops losses and kill days/weeks of profits with one loss. My hedging system works while I sleep and pcmultifx has a great looking martingale system. I NEVER trade manually and my EA requires NO manual intervention. You need to look over ForexFactory.com for a manual system you can live with (there are quite a few nice ones). The best EA systems are no/minimal indicator systems that have simple mechanics that auto-adapt to the market. My HEDGEPro EA is no indicator, non-directional, based on pure price action and never needs tuning or tweaking.

Been a pleasure talking to you. [Abusive content removed]

I'm still waiting for your Myfxbook page. - Mine is up 77.88% in the last 5 months (a second system is up 33%). And I use a few indi's to validate the entry but after I take a trade its all automatic. If you think I'm hedging to go flat - then where did the 77% come from? - Sheesh!! - Put up or shut up!

A decent manual trader should be able to SMOKE my returns but guess what? - I DONT CARE!! because I dont have to sit at my computer. As long as my VPS bill is paid I'm trading. I'm trading when I'm sleeping, clubbing and at the beach. You talk quite a bit of smack without imparting ANY knowledge. If these were your opinions from actually manually scalping they might be worth listening to. Do the scalping - Show the Statement THEN talk about your findings.

Who's scalping wisdom are you spouting? because you obviously dont have any real experience to talk from.

Anyone have experience with their payment provider: Plimus?
If I do a google search on them I get tons of websites screaming not to do business with them as they don't give refunds...

Yes, I had experience with those guys and you're correct - it's basically a PayPal payment engine with no refund policy whatsoever.

This confirmes its a scam😲

I've actually referred to Plimus and not the Fusion EA. I did however heard of some people getting refunds from Plimus.

I got a refund for a EA this year from Plimus

Hi guys, just thought I'd chime in with an update.
I ran my Fusion with some risk control settings last week (this is live) and managed to put away 820 pips. The only difference here is that I looked after the profit taking myself to some extent. It seems the FRWC robots can't always be trusted to get themselves out with a nice profit before the market takes it all away. So once a day I would log in and shut down a couple. Aside from that, SV was only allowed one position, LMD had a few pairs disabled, and hi-rider was limited to 3 positions with strat 1 disabled. Also Strasha was set to only double, not quadruple (as its its default).

This all sounds great so I went to bed Fri night (in Australia) feeling pretty good. That night Strasha opened a trade, got in trouble, opened 10 more increasingly stupid trades, remained in trouble and left them open over the weekend. There was one risk setting I forgot to change, and that was not to let strasha open 10 trades! So I actually expect my little $1000 live account to be wiped out today (because I cant see the EURGPB turning downward...).

Still, I'm still okay about our FRWC robots because once I either remove or fix up strasha I seem to have a pretty great system going on. 820 pips is great! At that level I can even weather a loss on hi-rider and still walk away with 200.

Keep working on it guys,

Carl

Thanks Carl

sorry to hear about the loss on Strasha portion with that missed setting - it's always much harder with real money :-(

you may want to investigate Steve Hopwoods Mutli Purpose Closing Robot mentioned earlier in the forum for these types of scenario's, it has many different closing components to suit your closing needs when live trades go bad.

I'm still in demo but have had some limited success with the MPTM - the hedge section worked best for me on trades gone bad but you have to experiment with the entry for the lossing trade based on EA strategy going bad, the currency pair and breathing space the original trade needs.

Good luck- post the settings if you get fusion or fusion & the MPTM working l;-)
