Basic settings, risk=3, no VPS, broker aurora-fx.
MDP worked fine past 14 days under same conditions, made 25% profit. Today went crazy.

Trew, I had about 20 trades today and made a profit on default. You gotta use a fast VPS and a good broker. See my small live account.

If you don't mind my asking, Professor53, what broker and VPS are u using, and what are your execution speeds?

use any good broker latency less then 100ms broker should handle every kind of order and execution time should be less then 800ms should work.. just when you run mdp look at the chart for the speed. also check time delay from your vps to your broker server.
i also got plus trade but i got the half cycle coz i was doing some other test on it.. still make 9$ at my small cent account on desktop system.

Yeah, from what i have seen, if you can get your times under 800ms, MDP will succeed. That said...MDP pulled in +54 pips today. I am trading on FXOpen's ECN with a good VPS located <1500miles away from the order server. 1300ms average open other times are 400-500ms. I had no losses.
Now, you may wonder why my account did so well. I have only one explanation. I prayed for God to help me and make me profitable. Since I did that, the MDP has not made a single loss.

WE all enjoy the promises of Gods bounty!!! But we need to be smart when we ask for those things and trade with wisdom and grace. As I have breifly mentioned before, I have turned off all my other BOTS. Less worry now and more grinning. VPS makes the diffrence with a good broker. Aloha

Well, God did tell us to use wisdom, and to study to show ourselves approved. So, my obsessive research follows right along those principles. Praying for wisdom has assisted me in the setup greatly too. :)

3 days of no trades? Compare the MDP main page and see if they had trades first before worrying if you get any trades. You should get at least half or more trades if the MDP page shows trades for that day!
Let me know if you need help, I could remotely check it for you. Some brokers will not trade or seldom trade because the spread is to large.

Just a reminder for everyone.
#1- MDP will NOT open trades if your spread is >2pips.
#2- If your order open average time is >800ms, you will possibly miss trades/ get bad slippage that causes loses.
I recommend you set the minimum and maximum lot size to your account minimum until you see that your setting are going to work on your account.

Both points are also useless. I also have used this bot in the past with MB trading on a VPS (also posted here in this thread with screen shots as proof, search for them, lots of details and explanation. To tired to post it all again here).
Spread at MB Trading is always < 2pips; 0.7 at the highest.
Order open time is around 4 ms.
And still this bot was not profitable to me. used the default settings, small lot size.. I post this again because I have noticed not all new comers read the whole thread. This bot is really NOT profitable with real money, believe me.
But this bot is not the only one. Also Wallstreet bot and oher bots are disappointing the last months. Seems my feeling about bots become true: As more an more money comes on the table, they stop making profit. As a rule you can say: When a bot will be profitable again, you bet bet on it, lots of people has giving up on it.

I think the real problem is with MB Trading. I have heard a lot of people complain about their EAs failing on MB Trading.
