Brazil is considered the tenth largest economy in the world and the largest economy in Latin America. Brazil's services sector is the most important which accounts for 63% of total GDP. The largest service segments are as follows: government, defense, education, and health (15% of total GDP), other services (15%), wholesale and retail trade (11%), real estate (8%), and financial services (7%). The second most important sector in the country is industry, accounting for 18% of GDP, with manufacturing (11%) and construction (4%) accounting for the majority of that contribution. The agriculture and livestock industry contributes 5% of the GDP.  Among the expenditure components of GDP, household consumption ranks first, accounting for 63% of total usage. Government expenditure ranks second, accounting for 20%, and gross fixed capital formation ranks third, accounting for 16%. Foreign trade in commodities and services accounts for 13% of total GDP, whereas imports account for 12% of total GDP while contributing 1% to total GDP.
