Euro Area Balance of Trade
Due to the substantial export of manufactured products such as machinery and vehicles, the Euro Area consistently posts trade surpluses. It is estimated that the Eurozone is a net importer of raw resources and energy. Germany, Italy, France, and the Netherlands are the countries with the biggest share of overall international trade in goods and services. The United Kingdom (12% of total exports and 10% of total imports) and the United States are the two most important trading partners for the company (13% of exports and 6% of imports).

Eurozone Inflation Rises Slightly To 2.1%
Eurozone inflation rose marginally in August but the rate remained near to the European Central Bank's 2 percent target, official data revealed on Tuesday. The harmonized index of consumer prices rose 2.1 percent year-on-year in August, slightly faster than the 2.0 percent increase in July, flash data from Eurostat showed.
