Netherlands Consumer Confidence
Telephone surveys are conducted in the Netherlands to gauge consumer confidence, with 1,000 households participation. The questions address the consumers' perceptions of the national economy and their own financial status over the previous 12 months, as well as their predictions for the next 12 months. Afterward, the index is computed as the difference between the percentage of participants who are positive and the percentage of participants who are negative. Consequently, the index has a value between -100 (all respondents believe their position is terrible and anticipate it to worsen) and 100 (all participants believe their current condition is satisfactory and expect it to improve); a value of 0 signifies a neutral scenario.
