Spain Industrial Production YoY
The productivity of enterprises operating in the industrial sector of the economy is referred to in Spain as industrial production. Accounting for 82% of total output Manufacturing is the largest sector. The following are the most important segments within Manufacturing: food products (12% of total production), fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment (9%), motor vehicles, trailers, and semi-trailers (6%), chemicals and chemical products (6%), other non-metallic mineral products (5%), rubber and plastic products (4%), machinery and equipment (4%), basic metals (4%) and beverages (4%). 14% of total productivity is accounted for by electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning, 3% is accounted for by water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation, and 1% is accounted for mining and quarrying.

Eurozone Retail Sales Fall More Than Forecast
Eurozone retail sales declined more than expected in July largely reflecting a notable fall in food and auto fuel sales, official data showed Thursday. Retail sales posted a monthly fall of 0.5 percent, in contrast to the 0.6 percent increase in June, Eurostat reported. Sales were expected to fall 0.3 percent.

German Construction Sector Downturn Deepens
Germany's construction sector shrank further in August largely due to the steep fall in new orders, survey results from S&P Global showed on Thursday. The HCOB construction Purchasing Managers' Index fell to 46.0 in August from July's 29-month high of 46.3.

Eurozone Private Sector Growth At 1-Year High
The euro area private sector expanded at the fastest pace in a year in August but the overall pace was sluggish as the service sector held back growth, final survey data from S&P Global showed on Wednesday. The HCOB composite output index rose to 51.0 in August from 50.9 in July. The score was slightly below the initial estimate of 51.1.
