The Consumer Confidence Survey (CCS), measures consumer's expectations for the economy in the next six months in Taiwan, is issued by the Research Center for Taiwan Economic Development (RCTED) of National Central University. Domestic business conditions, employment opportunities, family economic conditions, stock market investment, inflation forecasts, and readiness to purchase durable goods are all covered by the CCI survey. Each sub-index contributes to the total index, which is calculated as an unweighted average.  Pessimism is represented by a number between 0 and 100, while optimism is represented by a number between 100 and 200. Based on a telephone poll of around 2,400 randomly selected persons over the age of 20, which is conducted countrywide in the third week of each month.

Hodnoty vyšší, než se očekává, by měly být považovány za pozitivní (býčí) pro TWD apod očekávané hodnoty by měly být považovány za negativní (medvědí) pro TWD.
