Woodies Pivot Point consists of many critical levels calculated from previous price points, these levels are used as indicators for future price movements. The formula used to determine levels for Standard Pivot Points is very different from the formula used for Woodies Pivot Points. One of the main distinctions is that in Woodies model the closing price is given more weight. Woodies Pivot Point is calculated by multiplying the closing price by two and then adding the high and the low prices, this value is then divided by four to obtain the Pivot Points level.
