Sensex, Nifty Open Higher In Cautious Trade

(RTTNews) - Indian shares opened on a positive note Tuesday despite mixed cues from global markets and concerns over U.S. trade policies.

The benchmark BSE Sensex was up 399 points, or half a percent, at 82,190 in early trade, while the broader NSE Nifty index was up 116 points, or half a percent, at 25,193.

LTIMindtree rose about 1 percent after it announced a multiple-year agreement with a leading global media and entertainment company.

HCL Technologies climbed 1 percent as it joined hands with the MIT Media Lab to work on next-generation AI and quantum computing research.

Bank of India gained half a percent after releasing its business update for the July-September quarter of fiscal 2026.

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Industries both gained around 1 percent after the release of TRAI subscriber data for August.

Brigade Enterprises rallied 2.3 percent. The property developer has signed a joint development agreement for a 6.6-acre plot in West Chennai, which has a gross development value of around Rs. 1,000 crore.
