The single currency lost ground against the dollar for a second day after trading in a relatively narrow range. The daily limit values were reached respectively at 1.1052 and 1.0989, as the euro depreciated by 9 pips to a closing price of 1.1018. Thus, the pair marked a decline of 2.8% over the last eight sessions. Technical outlook remains negative, downward crossing of the moving averages will contribute to the bearish sentiment. Main target downwards remain 1.0960.

The euro resumed its downward movement against the dollar on Monday. The single currency depreciated by 83 pips to a closing price of 1.1027. The daily limit values were reached respectively at 1.1123 and 1.1003. Technical outlook in the short term remains negative, but for further decline is needed breakthrough levels at 1.0960.

The single currency marked a slight decrease against the dollar on Thursday. The euro broke the neutral two-day series and continued the negative trend from the end of last week. As a result, the support at 1.1085 was broken. Expectations, however, remain in favor of the euro and bullish sentiment. The session started at 1.1126 and closed with 21 pips lower. Bottom of the day was hit at 1.1071.

The euro recorded a consecutive neutral session against the dollar on Wednesday. The pair remained on the known levels reached earlier in the week. Short-term indicators are in favor of the single currency and if they are come true, the resistance at 1.1235 will be broken. Trading started at a price of 1.1142 as at the beginning bulls prevailed but finally the session closed with 16 pips lower.

The euro recorded insignificant decline against the dollar on Tuesday. The session was calm, with no sharp changes. Session started at the level of 1.1152 and closed with only 10 pips below. The difference between the highest and lowest value for the day was also small - 67 pips. If the single currency justify positive expectations in the short term resistance at 1.1387 will be broken soon.

The single currency recorded a second consecutive decline against the dollar on Monday. The euro justified the negative expectations and threw the pair downwards. As a result, both supports at 1.1191 and 1.1146 were broken. If bearish sentiment continue, currencies may test the next key level at 1.1085. The new week started at a price of 1.1238 as the euro retreated in the early hours of trading. Bottom of the day was hit at 1.1127 and the session closed with 25 pips higher.

The euro is losing ground against the dollar on Friday session. Thus the couple remained in the well known range between 1.1387 and 1.1191. If the dollar justify the positive expectations, the support will broken. The session on Friday started at 1.1321 as bearish sentiment prevailed throughout. Bottom of the day was hit at 1.1214 and the session closed with 40 pips higher.

The single currency recorded considerable profits on Wednesday session and thus managed to overcome its recent upwards range. The euro added nearly 200 pips to a closing price of 1.1102. The daily extreme values were reached respectively at 1.1137 over three-month high and 1.0903. The index of relative strength highlights the dominance of bulls as immediate goal appears to be 1.1105.

On yesterday’s session the euro continued to increase against the dollar for a second day and added 31 pips to a closing price of 1.0918. Extreme values for the session were reached respectively at 1.0939 and 1.0884. In view of the movement of the pair in range, the outlook remains neutral in the short term.
