On the downside, retracement back below 1.25 mark now seems to find immediate support near 1.2480 level and only a decisive break below this support would negate near-term bullish bias and trigger a near-term corrective slide back towards 100-day SMA strong resistance, now turned important support near 1.2410 region.

USDJPY is losing 0.12% at 111.03 and a drop below 110.63 (low Mar.23) would aim for 109.91 (50% Fibo of the November-December rally) and finally 108.18 (200-day sma). On the other hand, the next up barrier is located at 111.77 (high Mar.22) ahead of 112.88 (high Mar.21) and then 113.38 (20-day sma).

Renewed weakness back below the 200-day SMA now seems to drag the pair below 0.9880 level (yesterday's low) towards retesting yearly lows near 0.9865-60 region en-route 0.9820-15 support. On the upside, 0.9940 level now becomes immediate strong resistance, which if cleared decisively is likely to lift the pair back towards 0.9980-85 resistance before the pair eventually breaks through parity mark and head towards testing its next resistance near 1.0025-30 zone.

Sterling based at 1.2110 and reached the seven-month resistance line at 1.2471. Above it sits the 1.2581 February 9 th high which will be in sight once a break above the resistance line has been seen. Only above the 1.2705 February high would allow for further strength to the 1.2776 December high to be seen. Between it and 1.2836 lie several Fibonacci retracements and major resistance and we suspect that it will fail there. Where are we wrong? The recent low at 1.2110 is considered to be the last defence for the 1.1988 January low and the bottom of the 5-month range at 1.1919.

On the downside, sustained weakness back below 1.3315-10 immediate support now seems to drag the pair back below 100-day SMA support near 1.3295 region towards retesting 1.3275 support area ahead of mid-1.3200s.
