is high or low, but that's a trading decision. Sounds like you think that bouncing price action can continue which is perfectly reasonable. But I do prefer to view this as an opportunity to trade, rather than an opportunity to make analogies with casinos. I never like comparing price action in a traded market with roulette.RegardsDaniel

Hi Tucotrader,FGB does tend to trade at what might often seem to be daily extremes. The reason for the DD now is the same that caused the even larger DD in July last year, namely large 15/30 minute moves followed by equally large sudden retraces, this happening not just once but several times over. If you look at the market, such patterns rarely last, otherwise you are asking the euro to continue to bounce violently in a defined range which in my view is a difficult thing for any currency pair to sustain. Amazingly, I still have not started trading FGB.However despite today's price action, and despite Steve's comment that FGB has violated its equity curve, I still think this has good longer term prospects. Also about Steve's comment, I honestly felt that FGB had violated its equity curve at the end of July 2012. It made a lower low. Then look what happened. This might be a good time to start trading, or add funds etc to existing accounts.RegardsDaniel

It seems that, in the absence of any competing live forward test that beats FGB in the long run (eg any successful FGB+manual exits), one way I am thinking of trading this is as follows:1) no manual intervention;2) assume no gains will occur for at least 12 months;3) hold on for the longer term;4) trade no higher than lot size recommendations; and5) try to start after a down move (eg now) and/or add to the investment after a down move.

We all know that ThinkForex produces the most exact replica of the official account, which also uses ThinkForex.I would much prefer to use FGB on FXCM, but don't like the idea of failing to replicate the official account.Could one solution to this be to park a very small amount with ThinkForex, and then do a trade copy to my main FXCM account using for example the free MT4i trade copier? If this were possible, the FGB/ThinkForex feed could in theory be mirrored exactly to any account with any broker you choose. Does anyone here have any experience with this? If not, I can give it a go and ...
