GBP/USD continued the move down yesterday, making a bottom at 1.3011. The outlook remains bearish in the short term, but I recall the need for a clear break below the psychological level of 1.3000 for the restoration of the descending rally for the 1.2935 test. Immediate resistance is seen at 1.3090. A clear breakthrough over it may take the price to a neutral zone, but while it remains below 1.3175, I still prefer the bearish scenario at this stage. And any upward pressure should be considered as a good opportunity for short positions.

EUR/USD had a bearish momentum last week, making the bottom at 1.1569. The downward rally was triggered by the bearish pin bar at the daily EMA 200, formed on September 24, but stopped at the trendline. The outlook is descending to test 1.1530 in a near perspective. A clear breakthrough and daily closure below this zone could open the doors to 1.1430 before the target in the 1.1300 area this week. The first resistance is 1.1650, whose breakthrough may interrupt the bear phase. But the longer the couple stays below 1.1725, I prefer the bearish scenario.

The euro / dollar had a strong upward momentum yesterday, forming a peak at 1.1784. The price slid over the EMA 200 after breaking over the trend line of resistance. This suggests a critical technical situation for bears where a clear break above 1.1785 will activate my bullish model with targets in the 1.1850-1.1900 area. The signals are upward in a near perspective. First support is at 1.1730. A clear break below this level may take the price to a neutral zone, but it will confirm the 1.1785 region as a strong resistance that must be clearly breached before reaching higher levels.

GBP/USD: 1.3220 is a good historical resistance from mid-July. If the pair manages to break it, the next level is 1.3300. On the flip side, 1.3050 is the next support level (end of August), followed by 1.2920.

Euro / dollar attempted to rise yesterday, reaching peak at 1.1724, but then dropped and closed lower at 1.1666. Trade signals are neutral for now, probably with slight downside signals for testing 1.1620. A clear breakthrough and daily closure below this level would have to take the price of a retest of key support 1.1530. On the upside, the 1.1733 - 1.1785 area remains an important resistance and a good place for short positions with narrow stops above 1.1785. A clear breakthrough over this zone will activate my upward model with the nearest bull target in the 1.1850 - 1.1900 range.
