The US dollar recorded a decline against the Japanese yen. The session started at 109.40 closing for the day at 108.76. The dollar continued its downward trend reaching a one-week decline of 108.10, successfully breaking the support at 109.13 and 108.54. In case of breakthrough of the support at 108.54, we would expect a test of 107.88.

The US dollar fell against the Swiss franc. The session started at a price of 0.9931 as the pair lost 20 pips. The dollar reached a peak of 0.9982 during the European session, after which the price dropped sharply to break the level of support and reached a bottom of 0.9850. After a successful break of support at 0.9920, we would expect a retest of 0.9847.

The British pound fell against the US dollar on Tuesday. The currency pair opened at 1.3307 and ended at 1.3249. The pound in the early hours of European trade fell sharply, breaking the level of support at 1.3300, reaching bottom for the day of 1.3204. In the event of a resistance break at 1.3300, we would expect a test at a level of 1.3456.

The single currency fell sharply after the political turmoil in Italy, reaching a 10-month low of 1.1509. After a successful break in support at 1.1555, we would expect the pair to test the 1.1474 level.

The dollar recorded a second consecutive successful session against the yen on Tuesday. The US currency justified the positive expectations, with the result that the first two resistances at 110.02 and 110.27 were overcome. Short-term indicators remain in favor of the dollar. The session started at 109.64 and the final was 70 pips up. Peak of the day was scored at 110.45.

So the pair broke the first support at 1.3458, but the final was placed above these levels. The session was opened at 1.3555, and the bearish moods dominated from the start. The bottom of the day was hit at 1.3450 and the closing price was 53 pips higher.

The euro lost positions against the dollar on Tuesday. The single currency collapsed for a second consecutive session, resulting in the support at 1.1821 being broken. If the bullish sentiment continues, the pair will test the level at 1.1797. Trading started at 1.1926 and the euro fell with 89 pips to the final. The trend was negative for most of the time, as the bottom of the day was hit at 1.1819.
