Think of it this way... Everyone talks about keeping it under 5% Perfect! However, after the first loss, what is the probability that your next order is in the same direction in less than 48 hours after taking the max loss. All in all you are thus risking much more in the short term because of your bias after your loss. Most people dont adjust their SL after rollover or swap deduces from your account making that 2% or 5% automatically shrink the day after day. Most people don't even follow that simple rule. As far as picking a broker, just note and I find it funny that no one has mentioned the following... The broker takes more risk than the client because they offer the leverage. In the case of which a broker goes under, you can kiss you money good bye. Ask the people who lost money even though they werent in CHF pairs when the black swan account happened. No one has shown proof of getting their funds back and FXCM is a REGISTERED COMPANY IN THE US STOCK EXCHANGE NASDAQ. It sounds like you have to is all figured out. The part which you seem to be missing is that "risk" has no real definition in forex.

Congrats on being Captin save a margin call, but don't you find it ironic that you are saving people from the same thing you continuously experience? lol When was the last time you made a withdrawal. You post more then you trade and talk about VOUCH scores as if it can be converted to something worth anything.

That is the issue. People like yourself and Tgor are moreworried about up holding the rules of a thread of instead of actually posting accounts of your own which reveals you are a profitable trader.

Look hard enough and you will see many trades with "bad stats" but +profit because they withdrew. I overheard a conversation about "automaticity" and how that is the root to being bored and doing things in autopilot. Most people have really good systems, which is why most of our eyes click to see the stats. Then Human emotion, EGO, starts to set in and you begin a negatively reinforced behavior of not following your plan but winning at the same time. Chances are when you start to lose because of your random entries, the last you will do is fall back to what got your equity ...
