I’ve experimented a bit with AI tools, mostly for signal generation. They can be helpful, especially for scanning large datasets, but they’re not magic. Markets change, and models trained on past data don’t always adapt well.Overfitting is probably the biggest challenge. A model can look amazing on historical data but struggle in real conditions.I do think the future is more hybrid though. Humans for judgment, AI for speed and data processing. That combination feels more realistic than fully automated trading.

For me it was dealing with losing streaks. When several trades go wrong in a row it starts to feel like the market is personally testing your patience. I agree that bots can be profitable when used correctly, but I think the key part is the strategy behind them. A bot only executes what it is programmed to do, so poor logic or bad risk management will still lead to losses. Used as a tool rather than a shortcut, they can definitely improve consistency. You’re right about the lag. Most sentiment tools react after price moves, which limits their value. Real edge comes from seeing positioning early, not after it equalizes. True order flow from actual executions is what institutions pay for, but retail traders rarely get clean access to that data.

Well said. I used to overleverage a lot too, thinking one big trade could fix my drawdown. It never worked. Once I switched to fixed fractional risk and started thinking in percentages instead of dollars, everything changed. The market rewards discipline more than strategy.
