I think ActivTrades allows the deposit the original poster was talking about.

Actually, there have so many brokers who are allowing this kind of retail investment! But the question is, reliability.

I'm looking for a broker who has a leverage of 1:500 and a small spread. Since how many brokers adhere to ESMA restrictions, there are difficulties with trade.

When looking for a broker there are many things that you have to check. Accordion to my trading experience, first of all, I will be looking for in a broker is, if they are regulated or not. Then I will see their deposits and withdrawal system how it works. Only regulated trading broker guarantee their client’s funds with certainly.

To start, always look for the broker to be well regulated. And look for reviews in different web and read opinions. It's what I always do when I'm going to deposit in any broker.

Not endorsing any brokers here, but from personal experience you can not go wrong with ICMarkets, Pepperstone and Tickmill. I have used all in the past with no issues and they tick all the boxes.

If you do not qualify for a professional account status and you are stuck you can always opt for opening ICMarkets at their Asic entity.

I am quite happy with all three :)

Another point I forgot to mention, it is always best to split your capital amongst a few brokers for your trading, this way you can have a way to compare performance of the broker and the market conditions, plus you are not fully exposed in the event a broker goes bust and goes in to liquidation.

So say you have $15,000 that you will be investing, its is best to allocate say $5,000 to Tickmill, $5,000 to Pepperstone and $5,000 to ICMarkets. This way all your eggs are spread across different baskets :)

Also so you are not managing multiple accounts depending on your strategy, you could trade off one account and use a trade copier (I love FXBlue trade copier - it is great plus its free!) to copy your trading to the other broker accounts (Sadly this setup does not work great on scalping, but works ok on other strategies!)

Interesting reply! But I am with a single broker! Although, I liked your idea since I got your point.

Excuse me if i may, come across as an armature but outside of aisc broker only the unregulated ones offer leverage upto 500X and if you happen to be from US, then you are left with no choice but to go with the unregulated ones. Some of them like coinexx are listed here as well https://www.myfxbook.com/forex-broker-spreads
And if you read about them on forums etc some of them have a fair reputation. So will splitting capital amongst these brokers also make much sense?

It is very difficult to say which is the best broker for you since many many things need to be considered while choosing a broker which is one of the most vital part of forex trading and to make profit in forex.

You can't trade in the same way and same trading strategy in the same broker when you are trading few hundred dollars vs few million dollars. It makes a huge difference.

For smaller account trading there are a handful of regulated good brokers which you can choose. But for larger account trading with big money institutional brokers should be chosen.

Broker is a very sensitive issue here! According to my 4 years trading experience, only regulated Forex brokers are reliable to use! So, traders need to select their trading platform based of regulation status of Forex brokers!

I'm creating my own forex brokers rating based on my own trading experience in each company. Some brokers are good for scalping, some ones are better for swing. Welcome to my blog.

I can give my opinion about some of the most popular brokers in terms of Pros and cons:

1.Pepperstone:

Pros: Overall good broker and reliable and ASIC regulated with excellent customer support.
Cons: Spreads are slightly higher compared to other brokers. Also, they have a leverage breakdown structure as the account balance increases.

2.Axitrader:

Pros:Good broker and ASIC regulated. Spreads are extremely low and excellent customer support
Cons:Very few deposit and withdrawal options

3.IC Markets:

Pros:Seems to be a good broker and ASIC regulated. Spreads are very low.
Cons:Very slow customer support. Back end seems to be fishy and they intentionally create problems, freeze and manipulate price feeds if they find a smaller account balance account starts making consistent profit. Consistently loosing accounts work fine with this broker.

4.Tradersway:

Pros: Good spreads and excutions. Wide range of deposit and withdrawal options including crypto currencies as deposit and withdrawal method
Cons: Not regulated. Also, they have a leverage breakdown structure while account balance increase

5.Dukascopy:

Pros: Well known and regulated broker. Very low spreads. Good customer support
Cons: Limited deposit and withdrawal methods not suitable for all. Higher deposits required compared to other brokers.
