I personally prefer MT4 even though MT5 is available. It’s easy to use and there are plenty of tutorials online, especially on YouTube. It’s also one of the most widely available and popular platforms out there.

Both MT4 and MT5 are good platforms to trade with. It is up to you what you want to trade with as per your trading needs.

You can start trading with MT4 and then move to other trading platforms. MT4 is by far the simplest and easiest trading platform you will ever use. It has easy functionality and can be customized as per particular trading requirements.

Create a demo account before you decide to trade with any of the available trading platform options. This will help you find the best one for your requirements.

I also prefer trading on mt4, started using it with fxview, quite easy to use.

Since I'm a scalper, the MT4 platform is much suitable because of its simple trading software and tools.

I trade with FP Markets MT4 platform mainly for their low spreads, and the MT4's combination makes it easier to predict trades with the MT4's built-in technical indicators, with nine timeframes to choose from when placing orders.

Although my broker FinproTrading provides both the MetaTrader platforms (Mt4 and Mt5) as well as ActTrader, I never felt a need to shift from Mt4 which is the most basic yet complete platform.

As for me, now there are enough good platforms that can bring a good result to a trader.

each platform is good in its own way, because each option has its pros and cons, but I still prefer MT4

MT4 is the oldest platform. I prefer MT5.

Acttrader - Have seen this with fxview too but never tried it, I am a mt4 guy as my system is 32-bit but thinking of upgrading it. Though the mt4 thing is working fine for me till now but soon try mt5 for more timeframes and mql5 support.
