I personally prefer MT4 even though MT5 is available. It’s easy to use and there are plenty of tutorials online, especially on YouTube. It’s also one of the most widely available and popular platforms out there.
You can start trading with MT4 and then move to other trading platforms. MT4 is by far the simplest and easiest trading platform you will ever use. It has easy functionality and can be customized as per particular trading requirements.
Since I'm a scalper, the MT4 platform is much suitable because of its simple trading software and tools.
I trade with FP Markets MT4 platform mainly for their low spreads, and the MT4's combination makes it easier to predict trades with the MT4's built-in technical indicators, with nine timeframes to choose from when placing orders.

Acttrader - Have seen this with fxview too but never tried it, I am a mt4 guy as my system is 32-bit but thinking of upgrading it. Though the mt4 thing is working fine for me till now but soon try mt5 for more timeframes and mql5 support.
