In addition to my suggestion (some pages above) to calc the risk based on a virtual account size I want to remark that this idea would make it easy to withdraw 'funds' from the virtual account and to increase this account stepwise only after some substantial profits.
In general this virtual account size would make a lot things easier, gives more control to the EA and clarifies some parts of the risk for the user!

Hi,
How do you set your copy of Blue monkey to keep it from opening huge trades? It tried to open 1.58 lots on gbpusd this week. Because of FIFO I had to close trades to get to it to close that trade. Yours did not put a trade that large relative to your balance on gbpusd this week 7Dec to 12Dec of 2014. CKD

the size is calculated properly. in fact those big trades are the ones which make the biggest profit. if you have set the EA correctly, it should just work fine.

Those who have US brokerage need at least $2000 in the account and the 'initial_lot_per1000' should be set at 0.05 instead of 0.2

let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Alex,

have being using your EA for a couple of weeks now, seems working fine. Just want to clarify something.

Does client’s EA open and close trade based on Master EA or based on market movement? I mean does the EA judging trades locally or remotely?

I’m asking this only because I notice my trades are not exactly same with Master account, it seems open more trades than the master, although they all closed properly eventually.

I want to make sure the trading mechanic is fully monitored and controlled by local EA, they are not remotely controlled by Master EA and if something goes wrong(like spreads between different brokers) our account doomed.

BTW, I’m still using 1.18 at the moment as I’m quite happy with the current setting, is it OK to still using that version? Or its a must to upgrade to 1.2?

rodgerhe, I asked the same thing today to Alex... lets give him a few more hours.... I know that he's working in a new version...

I have the V1.1 version (I saw that on the Expert properties in the MT4)

Also I'd like to emphasize that the parameter AccountLossMargin is based on the pair and not in the account..

Does anyone else has the same behavior? If yes or not let us know and also share your version

great week for all of us!

Hi,
I installed on demo account with IC Markets and the trades are not exactly matching with master account of BMEA. Currently Master account shows one active trade where as my account shows 2 active trade with floating loss, when the BMEA account is updated 2 minutes back in myfxbook.com.

On 15th Dec 2014 BMEA has taken total 4 trades so far and closed 3 trades in profit with 42.9 pips and one trade is active with floating loss of 39.9 pips whereas MBEA has taken 7 trades in my account and closed 5 trades with profit of 39.2 pips and 2 active trades running with floating loss of 85.7 pips just now.

This shows the EA running on master account is different than the MBEA supplied to me.

I also have 2 trades open and in a small drawdown. But I never seem to match that of the master. But for me a win is a win and it also proves to me that we are not really dealing with a signal as well.
