there was trades last year also, got to -122 pips.

Worst trade is -23.1 pips. When the this system detects a change of trend, it triggers the early close.

you are only considered CLOSED trades,I am looking at open drawdown
This system has HAD trades open with over -100pips on numerous occasions. With a bit of luck the trades turned in their favour,
Dont delude yourself, it will happen again!

@forexpipcatcha I have experienced the same performance that sPhantom has except for today since November 2013, so today is definitely a latency issue.

Net positive each month since this EA started...

I think we suffered a latency in the signal itself. we have receive the close signal command from the sPhantom server too late. like if the web site used for the connection between our VPS and their VPS was suddenly bad or unresponsive for few seconds.

I somehow dont think latency or slippage is at play here.

If the market was moving really fast you could expect a few points, but between 5 and 8 pips, thats a stretch.

And even the IBFX guys were hit granted less than the rest so slippage can be disregarded in thier case.
Server latency on VPS's run at milli sec's these days and that is not an excuse anymore.

Is sPhantom sandbagging us?
What possible benefit would there be? First, a 3 or 4 pip spread on top of a volatile 3 or 4 pipe spike is not that unusual. Second, when you have a thousand people trading the same system, you don't want everyone hitting the tape at the same time. There are random exit generators to stagger exits by a second or two. One time you win a little more or less, another time, you win or lose a little less. Not saying they're doing this yet, but if interest keeps rising, they will need to. Thirdly, for those measuring their losses in dollars, is your account funded in USD? If not then you need to look at the costs or benefit of the carry on each trade. If your account funding currency appreciates during the trade, you'll make a little more, or vice versa.

@vincegis Thats a massive stretch considering sPhantoms trades and my own ended at 39 mins past the hour. Slippage is unlikely as there appeared to be significant liquidity judging by Oanda's orders book. This leaves NETWORK latency which is the most likely as the morning European session is the busiest trading time and also sees significant internet traffic generated from European businesses.

Net positive doesn't mean it is working as it should...does your results reflect what is posted on myfxbook or not? Can you add your results to myfxbook?

Errr... I have experienced the same performance that sPhantom has except for today since November. How many other ways do you want me to say it?!

Now why would I want to share my results with you?

It's latency pure and simple. At the exact point that sPhantom sent the close signal, there was a spike up. Both my trades closed at 9.39am - same as sPhantom's account. But within those 60 seconds the market spiked up. As a consequence I closed out at a loss of $81.45 on the first trade and positive $50.86 on the second - while sPhantom lost $58.52 on the first and gained $73.48 on the second. If the signal goes out mid spike in times of volatility there's a chance you could lose money. That's what's happened here.

My account was around $1435 now $1405, similar to sPhantom's - and I'm on IBFX.com.au - again, same as sPhantom.

I really don't think there's anything that can overcome this other than sPhantom moves to a PAM set up so all the trades and behaviours will be the same for all - but who wants to pay PAM commissions?

I say we quit whining and eat it and move on.

The reason I asked that is because you said you experienced net gains each month you didn't say the same expected gains....derrr...not always what your thinking is always what is perceived but great you got precise results all the time except this time.

OK looks like we dissected the trade enough, and the range of opinions does create a clearer picture. We will be full of smiles with the next positive trade and all will be well. Until next time..... And we will whine again despite making despite making loads on the good trades. Perspective!!!!

I believe they have done some adjustment. From what i observed, sphantom and mine account, the NAV and TP is different. That mean sphantom TP will be 40 pips, and mine will be 30 pips if they do not close the trade earlier manually.

But seem like trend likely move higher. But i believe it will fall back later on since it arrive at resistance line.

they made 6.3, I made 4.7, using pellucidfx. Can't complain: if an EA trade goes wrong but it breaks even, I'm fine.
