La categoría de alimentos y bebidas no alcohólicas representa el 20% del peso total en el Índice de Precios al Consumidor de las Islas Feroe, seguida de vivienda y servicios públicos (18%), transporte (14%) y ocio y cultura (11%). Los bienes y servicios diversos representan el 8% de las ventas totales, los muebles y el equipamiento del hogar el 8%, y la ropa y el calzado el 6%. También se incluyen en el índice: comunicación (5%), bebidas alcohólicas y cigarrillos (5%), restaurantes y hoteles (3%) y salud (2%).
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the DKK while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the DKK.
