Cuando los gastos son iguales a los ingresos, el presupuesto está equilibrado, cuando los ingresos superan a los gastos, el país tiene un superávit presupuestario y cuando los gastos superan a los ingresos, el país tiene un déficit presupuestario. En la India, la cifra del presupuesto público se refiere al importe total del déficit fiscal del gobierno central durante el año fiscal en curso.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the INR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the INR.

India Central Bank Maintains Policy Stance
The Reserve Bank of India decided to leave its benchmark interest rates unchanged for the sixth straight session on Thursday as inflation tends to remain in the upper band of the target range. The Monetary Policy Committee of the RBI, led by Governor Shaktikanta Das, voted 5-1 to hold the repo rate at 6.50 percent.
