What is the added value for trading forex? I really don't see any after years of trying of becoming profitable. Either one has to be skilled in programming experts advisors, or one has to trade in really long time frames. I'd rather try something else than forex. Just my 2 cents..

The problem with the stochastic oscillator, in my opinion, is that it doesn't work in a trending market at all. Stochastic oscillator work only in a ranging market condition. Any objections to this?

For an European (EU) based trader for getting leverages higher than 30 is the only option really to go for cryptocurrency base trading accounts (and brokers), really? Is there any other way of going round the ESMA regulations?

I am building my strategy around BBs, Stochastics, and SMAs. I've tried that SMA high, low, and close, too, but I think Bollinger Bands do better overall.

Am I wrong, but I see a pivot level, SMA high, low and close, and then the parabolic SAR?

How much have you succeeded to profit on average in daily or monthly percentages under these new ESMA regulations? That is the total leverage being 30. I suggest that 1% daily profit on average should be feasible.

Stop loss is a safety net or a backstop so to say, it should be put far enough for preventing a catstrophic event, such as the black swan of unpegging of the EURO and the CHF. Otherwise, everything should be implemented programmably or by constant monitoring of the trade.

Currently, it seems that EURUSD broke out, and heading north.. Any reason for this? There are even two gaps in price data, which are visible in the 15M time frame.

EURUSD has been ranging since 3th of December. Is there any clear reason for this, upcoming events etc., or is this just waiting for the hard Brexit to happen at the end-of-the year?

Sadly, GBP willl never recover from the Brexit disaster. End-of-the Year will bring turmoil to both EUR and GBP. There is a hgh risk of hard Brexit, almost inavoidable. There is also a great risk of the dissolution of the UK.. This was solely my _opinion_. .. and that's the way I think it is..
spread question

Well.. Spread eats profits, and destroys many otherwise good strategies. Move higher. Some Market Makers offer many other good features, like guaranteed stop loss, and zero negative balance. I wouldn't blindly stare at nominal spread, since there is also a phenomen called slippage, which is essentially a hidden part of the spread.

I don't get this one. Let's observe EURUSD, for example. It has been in a steady decline for about a week. Community outlook states that 85% of the traders have a long position in it, and only 15% of the traders are shorting it. Short positions at the moment have 23 thousands lots, and long positions have 127 thousands lots. Yet, the community outlook shows that overall of 69% are winning players!! My analysis shows that I should have been shorting it heavily (Which I have not been doing) How should I interpret community outlook as a tool? Traders have won $2.7 billion and lost $1.4 bi...

The case seems to be similar with JPY, however. It must have been some sort of internal reason..- Loss of overseas territories- Germany as a rival- WWII era politics -> huge debts to the US- Pound lost its position as a world reserve currency (de-pegging with gold)- IMF loans to UK (devaluations of pound)- Troubles in Ireland- European Union, somehow- something else I can't think of

Swiss Franc was pegged to gold until 2011. Otherwise, it could have something to do with UK's colonial past. Canada or Australia. Gold or mining industry, anyways? UK joined to EU in 1969, but I wouldn't put a blame on that. That figure implicates that the economy of UK has been declining for decades.
