Hi there,
I have been trading manually for 4/5 years and I started trading robots 2 years ago. In manual I have been profitable for 2 years but I still often go through a few moments of intense stress.
I like manual trading a lot but I ask myself the following question: how can I continue to stay motivated by manual trading when automatic trading works better and better?
There are times my motivation takes a hit and I wonder if it's worth continuing to trade manually since the robots work quite well.
Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Do you prefer automatic over manual?

I prefer manual but sometimes, when I see what I can win with my trading bots, I'm asking myself if it's worth continuing to have some stress moments occasionally :-)
Tried both and prefer manual trading myself as I feel I have more control than by using bots.

I prefer to combine these two methods. Then it works more efficient. But even if now you prefer trading with a robot, keep an eye out anyway. Different things happen.

I can see the dilemma there and it's good that you've had positive results with automatic trading, but I've always preferred manual.

Why do not you want to try trading with EA? What is your fear?

I can totally understand! But I won’t really recommend buying readymade EAs in any case. You can actually automate your trading without any changes in your strategy. Like what I do is download some ready to use scripts that work well with my trading strategies onto fxview mt4 platform, this allows me to get the benefits of automated trading without deviating from my original strategy. That’s a good solution if you ask me.

Manual trading in my opinion is best for me. Robots are cool but its feels better and builds more confidence when its done by self.

In my own experience manual trading is best. And when the trader learns coding to develop their own bot, its even better!

Both manual and automated trading have their own advantages and disadvantages. Manual trading allows a trader to have more control and flexibility over their trades, as they can make decisions based on their own analysis and judgement. However, it also requires more time and effort to execute trades and can be emotionally challenging. Automated trading, on the other hand, allows a trader to set up rules and parameters for trade execution, which can be helpful for those who don't have the time or inclination to constantly monitor the market.
