you can depend on luck but of course after having most powerful analyzing trading knowledge , otherwise it could be a dangerous issue.
Even for you to be lucky, you have to put in some effort. Luck doesn’t work on its own. You have to learn, practice, analyse your trades. You just can’t expect to make profits by entering or exiting any trade without any strategy or logic. Moreover, if you rely on luck completely you can never learn to trade profitably and when luck will leave your side you’ll lose all your profits by making wrong moves.

Luck is just opportunity meeting preparation.

Yes. you need proper knowledge besides luck.
I know its a cliché but luck is when opportunity meets preparedness and no amount of luck will help you be consistent in this game

It's impossible to say that luck is more important than experience because both play an important role in what you do. You will not be successful in forex if you have sufficient experience and enhanced your trading skills but poor luck, at the same time if you are lucky but lack experience, your performance in forex will be unsatisfactory, so these both of the things play their roles but in my opinion your experience is more important.

Chance is very important but not decisive
I do not argue that luck plays an important role, but far from being the key one. I would advise to pay more attention to the level of experience.

How is this even a thread on myfxbook. Of course luck isn't important. You cannot reply on luck to make you money. If you believe that just get a lottery ticket

It really comes down to your decisions, but I often wish other traders luck regardless. Some may believe in it and others don't, but I do think luck comes more into play with gambling.

When trading Forex, luck is one of the most important factors. A new trader can buy and sell in accordance with their plan, but still end up losing money. That's where the element of luck comes in. It is not really about your strategy or how good your setup is. Luck will play a role in whether you win or lose on your trades.

Luck is secondary. The primary thing to focus upon is skills.

No completely disagree, you are talking about probabilities here not luck. Over a large sample size and a correct edge no luck plays any part. It is completely all down to probabilities. Yes you can do everything right but still loss thats probability over the long run if your edge is good you'll be in profit
I don’t think that luck is important while trading. It could only be a few trades where you could benefit due to luck. All the other times, it is the experience and skills that make you profit.

I agree with you, luck can work but not every time, only knowledge and experience will help one to excel in forex trading.
Luck may be important, but a lot can be achieved even without it. If a trader learns risk management and is able to control the emotions while trading, consistent profits can be earned. Luck may not always work but knowledge and experience will always work.
