What makes a good MT4 broker. I am thinking of opening a live account with my current broker but wanted to know what people out there think makes a good MT4 broker. Obviously they are all similar but what makes one stand out??? I dont mind changing brokers or opening another account if it is worth it.

Look for ECN accounts. Small spreads and execution rate. I am not a huge fan of metatrader and believe you have a faster execution through platform that was made by the broker itself.(IF THEY ARE ECN) But fxprofits33 is correct Instaforex are making a good name lately. Good luck on your search.

There are several factors. Although spreads and execution are important, you also have the customer service factor and the broker's reputation. Just google for reviews of the broker in question, and if you find something you don't like, move along - there are so many broker to choose from so you will definitely find one which suits you.

Always test your broker in the demo account first. Don’t invest a high amount at first. Take some time.

MT4 is better than any trading platform because it contains all kinds of trading instruments with essential terms and conditions. So the newcomers should take this trading platform for acquiring proper basic fundamental trading knowledge.

The best balance of low spreads, low fees, slippage and execution speeds.
If you can't spot the liquidity then you are the liquidity.

Personally, I look for low costs and want to have access to multiple assets, including an impressive listing of cryptocurrencies.

First off, MT4 is almost every trader’s choice because of its simplicity to use. Plus, with a reputed broker offering a good platform, you get to have a good execution speed, no delay or requotes issues in your trading. For me, I myself have been using MT4 with fxview for almost 2 years and all's well.

Most important thing is that it is regulated in US, Australia, UK or EU. Other than that they are all the same
