Hi

As Zuttasoxx said please attach the EA only to EURUSD H1 chart.

FxPapa,
my eur/usd short position opened 22:34 @ 1.30614 and closed 23:08 @ 1.30532 This was an 8 pip gain. Your trade is still open. Should my trade have remained open? I am using FinFx as my broker ECN account. The times displayed on my charts were 01:34 (open) and 02:08 (close)

FxPapa,

My broker has now a MT5 ECN account. I don't know about execution, but at least the spreads are supposed to be lower. I'd like to give it a try. Do you have a MT5 compatible version of the EA?

Hi

Currently we are not working on MT5 version.

Why no backtests for 08/09?

Having tested many systems, those years are important ones to see the results of.

One can only assume results are ugly if you are unwilling to display them...

Hi

FxPapa has a fundamental part. This means our team detects when it should not trade due to the market events.

To do the back test we have to do all these fundamental analyzes for the whole 2008 and 2009. This really takes us many time.

Currently we are doing our best to study the current market behavior.

I have a problem with setting the fxpapa lot size. my broker is a uk spreadbetting one and the leverage is 1:10. Even if I set the risk to 15% it only trades 0.02 lots! The account has $2000 as the capital atm. Can't switch the MM off and set the lot size manually either. Any idea pls???

Hi

FxPapa calculates the lo size based on the input risk.

First of all the max acceptable risk for 1:10 leverage is 1.5%.

The max acceptable risk for 1:50 leverage is 7.5%.

The max acceptable risk for 1:100 leverage is 15%.

The max acceptable risk for 1:200 leverage is 30%.

If your account is standard (1 Lots = 100,000 USD) then:

Order_Lots = Risk_Percent * AccountBalance / 200,000

If your account is Mini (1 Lots = 10,000 USD) then:

Order_Lots = Risk_Percent * AccountBalance / 20,000

If your account is Micro (1 Lots = 1,000 USD) then:

Order_Lots = Risk_Percent * AccountBalance / 2,000

Hi lxboston,

I don't undersand how your account made 42% in April while Fx Papa official account made less than 20% if both seem to be 100 in leverage. I noticed you attached FxPapa to 2 charts for a few days. Is that all the difference? Can you please share how you made 42% in April?

Thanks
Fabio

Hi Ixboston,

I do not understand how you get 4.89 lots with 15 % risk.
With the risk set at 15 % the trade size is 0.75 lots on my 10000 € account. So for a 32000 $ account one would expect 2.4 lot size.
Am I mistaking ?

The variable in the EA is set to 15.

Someone please advise if this is more than 15% risk, it was my understanding that it would close any positions in which the DD goes over 15%

Hi

Yes. It closes all open positions if total loss be more than input risk.

Don't forget to attach the EA only to EURUSD H1 chart.

Thanks FXpapa it is only on one chart.

Some of the other users here are trying to work out why I have bigger lots than them, 4.89 for $32,000

Hi

It shouldn't be like this. Your lot size should be 2.4 lots.

What version of the EA are you using?

Make sure you are using version 3.1
