Yes, apparently, when you set the risk parameter to 10, for example, the risk will be really 20%. So if they have the risk setting at 15, they really have a risk of 30%. Maybe that's why it didn't trigger the SL yet.
As for me, what a great day to buy FxPapa. And already on real live account. Yet, I did not get any of those problematic trades. Which is both strange and lucky. And good :)
Good luck, Roger!

Hi
The EA may open up to 3 positions at the same time. FxPapa EA uses equity stop loss. Default value is 10 which means the EA would close the trades if the total loss of 3 positions be more than 10% of the account balance.

Hi Alec, thanks for the update. See this stuff is what im talking about. FX PAPA said above which is clearly untrue, and manual says , well, hopefully the truth.
Still waiting for FX PAPA to clarify above statement.

For those that are interested, one of their trades is curerntly over 15% entire account drawdown with a loss of over $80 (account balance is currently $510) open drawdown is now at 25%.
I hope for alec and Rogers case its capped at 30%.

I'm using a -150 pip fixed SL on my account, so it will close the trade if it continues to go negative regardless of what FxPapa does. Of course, that will still be a huge loss to my account (about 8%), but it certainly won't wipe me out...
Nevertheless, I don't like the fact that the vendor wasn't telling the truth about the equity loss this service uses. I also didn't realize that FxPapa was a signal service until after I bought it, as it was promoted as an EA. And now the vendor seems to have vanished from posting here. So I may end up requesting a refund before it's all said and done. I'm sure that will go over about as smooth as a baby's butt! 😉 ! Luckily, I purchased iit with my credit card, so I can always dispute the charge based upon the misrepresentation of the product. Hopefully that won't be necessary...

The vendor's account has opened two additional GU sell trades, that neither my demo or live account took. What's up with that? I'm actually glad though, as having one trade opened is enough for me at this point. But I thought the whole purpose of this being a "signal" service was so that all customers receive the same trades as the vendor... 😕

All,
Just so you know, vendors account already exceeded 30% equity loss..
High today for GU was 1.5928 if you allow 3 pips difference and say vendor high was 1.5925 this still equates to 30.2% of the balance, excluding the negative swap.
Performance has been good, but obviously it is going to be hard to trust the vendor if they are not honest about such simple things.
Also makes you wonder, why after this time they have still not put up the full 2 year back test or 10 year with no gaps. To be honest, if you cannot back test yourself, due to signals sent from the server then I doubt I can trust any back tests provided by the vendor.
Roger, hopefully things work out for you..

Bob, sorry to know your SL was hit. Meanwhile, Roger and the vendor are still without loss, as am I for I didn't get the bad trades. My FxPapa only started yesterday.
So, what now?
We knew this could happen. The signals should keep coming so some can recover from loss and others may profit. Business as usual.
I see no reason for FxPapa not to show up here. Though it seems strange their account didn't get the 30% loss. They're now at 18% drawdown. Are you sure they were over the 30%, maestro?

I was stopped out at 8% on my account. My setting is at 4. The sell trades all took and matched what was on fxbook here. What really bothers me is the equity growth does not show the drawdown. Drawdown is one of my main criteria for buying "EA's"(I guess because it's not an EA explains the lack of settings possible)
