This EA depends on tick data... and your brokers tick data might be a little different from the vendors broker's tick data. Hence the minor difference... but in the long run it balances out...

At times the vendor has had losses where as mine had winners etc. Long term, it's a good strategy, control your risk, live to trade another day and this EA will do just fine.

Hi,
I have removed the EA as I can not afford to loose that much. It seems this EA will not be working good during this period of December and January due to market condition.

sure it is not the best month for the EA but that can always happen, bad for someone like me just purchased it this month but i will continue using it, will give it a pause during the holiday seasons and run it again in January and see where it is going

I told it already,
put the 2 new sets (entry_filter and breakeven) to true and you will have better results!
Look my account:

Yes he did, but i just wanted to try.
What happens if...
He told me also that my results were "very helpfull".
I don´t know. May be in january you will all make over 40% and i will have losses... Then i will change back.
Untill now i think i have chosen the right way 😎

The best idea would be to backtest both sets and compare, both individually and a mixed portfolio with both settings and see what comes out. I'm switched off now until the new year. However my feeling is in the last few weeks a few of these trades have fallen victim to stop hunting. Hopefully Jared will sort out a hidden stop loss version over the Christmas break!
Best regards Steve

As discussed before, the back tests show that the EA performed poorly in the first 2 months of the year.

Last time Steve suggested that we switch off Dec 19. In hindsight, we should do it 1 week earlier!

I am redoing the test with 1 and 2 filter on and see. I also switched off yesterday and wont restart live trading until mid Feb or March 1, unless the new tests show me otherwise.

I therefore will change to demo account mode with the 3 settings and see which one works out best.

I guess this makes sense since the EA relies on break out momentum, this time of the year trading is thin and not much follow through. So stop hunting is easier. If anybody spot some other time period(s) that is/are also not good please post.

Absolutely correct. You are going about it the right away. Kudos.

i have noticed very big difference in price between two brokers i am using one is regular and one ECN, for example the low for GBPUSD on the ECN is 1.51401 while on the other is 1.52351, anyone has noticed such huge differences between brokers?
