personally, i would add a couple of items to that list..

1. food

4. communications
5. transportation

if all parties that are members of a particular economy have been provided with the above items, then and only then do we have a properly operated and well balanced economy. there are other issues that require careful consideration, but this is economics 101, imo..

non-profits serve as a drain on an economy and the same goes for building roads and the hauling of trash.

better said, investment capital can be received that is, for all practical purposes, without risk to the investor.

let's say, for example, that i have $1,100.00 in my account, which i pretty much do have, and that i expect to use something in the ballpark of $300.00 of margin, at the maximum...

ok, fine, i receive $300.00 of opm from another person, and god forbid, should my equity drop down to anywhere close to $300.00, i shut down my trades, in an automated fashion, of course, withdraw whatever is remaining, and return to the investor his $300.00, and yes, before you even ask, i will pay my outbound wiring fees and i will also reimburse said investor for any wiring fees that he incurred when he sent said funds to me in the first place. also notice that if said investor was from australia, and i am in the united states, the exchange rate of the audusd may have changed, either in my favor or against me, but i will want to make sure that he receives back in his account at least the amount of australian dollars that it cost him when he sent to me said $300.00

as i was saying, risk free trading.

and, it goes much deeper, there are several more levels deeper that this can go.

it is my thinking that i should be more than willing to take on as much of the risk onto myself and remove said risk from my investors.

my next position will be primarily gold, gold begins trading at something like 3pm or 4pm, california time, it is now 11:30am, anyways, i will be entering this trade shortly after gold begins trading.

i have 0.20 lots of gold in progress, will add a lot more if it backs up on me, i am looking for a minimum of a fifteen dollar move on this gold trade, which means that i am looking forward to at least $2.00x15=$30.00 of profit, or about 3%.

i am already sitting at positive $1.86 of profit, but i am actually expecting it to try to fight me and it will drop into the negative, in which case it is only going to be more profitable for me as i will gently toss this box of bricks square at the charts.

I saw your History before you hid it, so you take many small trades?

Wouldn't it be better to take fewer trades, but let them profit larger (i.e. use slightly larger positions)? Just think of how much broker spread you would save.

Probability says the more trades taken, the higher the risk for more losses to be given.

This is why my signal account has been doing well-- trade less, risk less. None of this scalping nonsense. Almost every EA and system I see nowadays promotes 20-30 pips as a huge win. Anything less than 40 pips is not considered a win to me.

my broker is stopping trading of gold entirely as of the 15th of july, how sad for me.

You're right about the broker spread, but on a smaller accounts fewer losers are better. You wouldn't be trading 1.00 lot on a $1000 account anyways. I'm just saying that the more trades you place the higher the risk of a losing trade occurring. Probability cannot be avoided.

Yes, remember I posted the notification that all U.S. retail brokers will stop leveraging metals. You said you would switch over to currencies, how much different do they perform than gold with your system? Any difference?

i am, atm, trading gold based pairs.

i spoke with my broker, they said that they sent to me an email regardiing the changes wiith gold, ie, that they are stopping trading gold entirely for u.s. customers, and that no new gold positions are allowed to be opened, but cuz i already have this position open it is ok but that i need to close it up by the 15th of july. no worries.

currency works exactly the same, just that i only get 50:1 leverage with currency, i am gettiing 100:1 with gold, the leverage diifferences make a big difference in my trading capabilities.

1.00 lot on my current account, with gold anyways, is entirely possible.

0.10 lots of an xau based pair requires approx $30.00 of margin at 100:1, i currently have 2.20 lots on the table right now.

currency, on the other hand, requires about $60.00 of margin for 0.01 lots, so you are correct, 1.00 lots of ccy would require approx $6,000.00 of margin, which is obviiously not doable on a 1k accct.

my trading system performs exactly the same with ccy as it does with gold, aside from the leverage issues.

i am, for the record, playing heavier than i would prefer to, but i do not see any problems ahead.
