Guys we are only interested in hearing from people who have bought and used pivot trader pro and either profited or lost. This is not the place for your opinions on Doug price or rev trader. I'm reading through these comments trying to find a useful review on pivot trader and all I see is people sour about rev. what most people think are facts are merely just other people's opinions. Let's hear from people who purchased and used pivot trader. Even better if they can post charts and graphs and links to their fx book accounts. Then we will know it's a fact not an opinion. And for the sour rev users. Rev has its own page.

@frenchtrader7 you did not say if you bought and used pivot trader? Or if you stopped when you found out it was just a copier? Did you profit or lose from it?

My fellow traders. As someone who has bought RTP and Vortex trader Pro from Doug Price,
anyone who needs my suggestion about this new ea, PTP, I would advise you stay off any product that
comes from Doug. Am talking from my personal experience having bought and used his earlier EAs.
you would thank me later for this advise

Is anyone using this successfully with FXCM?

I tried to use PTP on an account with FXCM and I kept getting the order modify request, so much so that FXCM threatened to freeze my account. I tried it on another account with Oanda and had a similar sort of issue. The brokerage says that every time the EA submits an order modify request it costs them money. Effectively the EA is useless to me. Also I am having trouble getting an electronic fund transfer to FxChoice where I have an account. That is the brokerage where the vendor says to use the EA where he says that these issues will clear up. Is anyone familiar with these types of problems? The order modify request problem is a FIFO issue I am told.

I just purchase it a week ago. The drawdown is quite high 50% with the lowest risk recommended. This EA is so not working well. Losing 400 pips and still on holding for a week already.

For the owners.........

Does this system place a hard SL?

Has anyone here used it for a couple of months and what do you think ?

This is why I asked the question.

Does it place a hard SL or what are the exit criteria so I can look at the worst case scenario.

I emailed Doug about it and awaiting a reply...........

But thank you for the kind words.

All the best

I'm using it, and this is what I think.

The system takes HUGE risks. Must be used with the smallest lot size possible and only on accounts well founded (minimum 10.000$). Early or later it will hit big losses, it's inevitable. More time passes, more likely it will be.

You must have the required tollerance to use it. It's hard to follow and not for everyone, but it's a good system. At least good enough for me.

It has hard stops but very, very, VERY far from the entry.

Please, dont't blame Dough. People saying he's cheating must prove they are able to produce the same equity curve or better. I don't think they can. If you let the system blow your accont it's your fault, not Dough fault.

That's my opinion.

Have good trade.

Its profitable. Try to use the minimum risk as given or lower than that. I use risk level 2 . Thinking of lower down again

Damn sounds very disappointing, not going to invest in this, rather go with one his older pieces like venture bot or something

Is the hard SL dynamic for each pair or the same and what is it please then we can think about how much risk it really puts in every trade.

No doubt this is a good system and is profitable so far.

I am waiting the rest of the year to see what happens to it.

Like said above. Is everyone's own responsibility to think about their accounts and the risks

It is a long term trading strategy. With a small lots to bring you great profit but your account must be big enough to tolerate the draw down. Look at Doug's history and you will know if you can overcome your impatience, you can bring back profit more than you can expect. I am using Vortex & Pivot, both are best!
